Greater Portland FCA To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. Camp kicks off all of our campus ministry heading into the fall.

Coaches and Athletes Lead – Direction Matters

~Discipleship-Focused
Our plan is that every high school campus in Western Oregon has at least one coach and student-athlete being discipled. We will do this by training mentors and volunteers to meet with and connect them to local churches.

~Christ-Centered
Christ is the center of everything we do, and this is most evident at our camps. It is our be

st opportunity to present the Gospel to our student-athletes.

~Leadership-Driven
The goal is that every high school and college huddle would be student-led, so we are training up student-athletes who are hungry to be spiritual leaders. For coaches, we want to provide 3D coaching training, to minister to every aspect of an athlete, because ministry happens to and through our coaches.

This camp is for All-Abilities campers ages 5+ and is designed to provide modified sports experiences with a focus on valuing every athlete the way Jesus does. West Linn High School FCA recently organized a pickleball tournament during school as an outreach event, and over 50 students attended. During the event, Area Representative, Dylan Knight presented the Gospel using FCA's The FOUR. For many students, this was the first time they had ever heard the Gospel presented clearly. The atmosphere changed; students were listening and engaging in ways that were not expected. The very next day, several new students attended FCA for the first time. This was a beautiful reminder that God can use simple things like pickleball to draw people to Himself. Let's go!

I almost never talked about my faith in school and I felt God calling me to create that space. As FCA has grown, my ability to vocally share the Gospel and interpret scripture has deepened and the Lord has really moved at Mountainside!”

Get to know Aleta who serves as an Area Representative in Cowlitz/Columbia County!

Aleta’s shared that her favorite part of being on staff with FCA is, “seeing kids lead in their mission field on campuses and the fun staff that I get to work with and the hype and energy that we all have about helping coaches and athletes.”

The wait is over! This year, we are thrilled to announce that Casey Staub will be the Middle School Leadership Camp speaker! Casey is a student ministry leader at River West Church in Lake Oswego, Oregon, serving high school and junior high students. He's passionate about helping teenagers discover who they are in Christ and live like they actually believe it.

After a decade working in technology in Silicon Valley, he moved to the Greater Portland area to answer a call to full-time ministry. With years of volunteer experience walking alongside students through the messy, formative, and sacred work of growing up in faith, Casey brings energy, honesty, and deep conviction to every room he speaks in.
