We are proud to recognize Synthia as our May Student of the Month!

Synthia has just completed her 4th year in the Inside Electrical program and continues to set the standard for excellence. She is a straight-A student with perfect attendance, demonstrating an incredible level of dedication and commitment to her education and craft.

Her drive, intelligence, and kindness make her a true inspiration to everyone pursuing a career in the electrical industry. Synthia’s positive attitude and strong work ethic have made a lasting impact on both her classmates and instructors.

In addition to her academic achievements, Synthia also earned 2nd Place at the 2026 Wire Off, showcasing her exceptional skills and professionalism in the trade.

This past Saturday, May 16, IEC Oregon was proud to participate in the 2026 Keizer Iris Parade! It was an incredible opportunity to represent our organization, celebrate our apprenticeship community, and connect with the local community along the parade route.

A special congratulations goes out to our 2026 Apprentice of the Year, Ethan, who was a major highlight of this year’s parade participation! We were honored to showcase their achievement while proudly rolling through Keizer with the IEC Oregon Volt Wagon.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make this event such a success. Your enthusiasm and dedication continue to showcase the strength of the IEC Oregon community.

Come Out and Support IEC Oregon at the Keizer Iris Parade!

On May 16th, IEC Oregon will be proud to participate in the Keizer Iris Parade as we continue showcasing the importance of apprenticeship, skilled trades, and community outreach throughout Oregon!

This year, we are especially excited to highlight our Apprentice of the Year and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and future of the electrical industry.

The photos in this post are a flashback to our 2025 Iris Parade float as we get ready for another exciting year at the parade! We would love for our community, apprentices, families, contractors, and supporters to come out and cheer us on.

Events like this are a great reminder of how strong our trade community is and how important it is to continue investing in the next generation of electricians.

Celebrating the IEC Oregon Class of 2026!

Last Friday, May 8th, we gathered at the Keizer Event Center to celebrate an incredible milestone — the graduation of our 4 year Inside Electrical Apprentices! After four years of hard work, dedication, long hours, and determination, these apprentices have officially completed their apprenticeship journey with IEC Oregon.

The evening was filled with great food, drinks, laughter, and meaningful moments shared with fellow apprentices, instructors, employers, members, friends, and family members who supported them along the way. It was an honor to recognize the commitment and perseverance it took for each graduate to reach this achievement.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our event sponsors who attended and generously supported this celebration. Your contributions helped make this such a beautiful and memorable evening for our graduates and their families. We truly could not have done it without you, and we are grateful for your continued support of apprenticeships and the future of our industry.

We are incredibly proud of this graduating class and excited to see where their careers take them next. The future is bright for these electricians, and we know they will continue to make a lasting impact on our industry and communities.

This month our LE instructors complete a major clean-out of the Limited Energy Education labs, which resulted in an impressive amount of material that needed to be recycled.

Oliver of LV Electronics Recycling was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. They offer free electronics recycling which keeps electronic materials out of landfills.

We are glad we were able to partner with LV Electronics Recycling to properly dispose of and recycle our old electronics.
