You know what day is tomorrow? Tech Tuesday!

🤖 June 2, 2026 from 4-5 pm at the Tift Four-h office!

Come join the fun and learn about:

✅ robots that do important work in the world, from companionship to cleaning, and medical to military.

✅ why some robots are designed to look friendly and realistic so they can interact with people, whereas others are designed to lack features such as a face and head, which are unnecessary and too fragile for robots that are used for performing jobs too dangerous for humans.

✅ "uncanny valley", a very unusual and interesting phenomenon studied in robot design.

Students will:
✅ interact with the robots
✅ can pet them, interact with them or control them
✅ design their own robot that looks like it could do that job the instructions call for it to do
✅ explain why they designed their robots the way they did

Our Southwest District officers from Tift County 4-H enjoyed their time at Georgia Officer Training! They even had access to Dooley field at Sanford Stadium and the recruitment lounge at the University of Georgia! Go Dawgs! And go Mihir, Daniel and Taylor!

☀️🏕️ CAMPER FUN DAY IS ALMOST HERE! 🏕️☀️

All Tift 4-H Cloverleaf, Junior, and Senior Camp campers are invited to join us on June 4th from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM for a fun-filled day as we get ready for summer camp! 💚

Campers will:
🎨 Make arts & crafts
🤝 Meet their Pink & Yellow Crew members (Cloverleaf camp)
🎯 Participate in team-building games
💬 Learn how to live together peacefully and respectfully at camp (required lesson from Georgia 4-H)
😄 Make new friends before camp even begins!

We will have some snacks to share, but campers are encouraged to bring a packed lunch. 🥪🍎

We are so excited for an unforgettable summer with our Tift 4-H campers! 🍀

Our ambassadors are headed to Rock Eagle 4-H Center for their two-day ambassador training!

Camden will learn about animal science while Emeri will train under the ag tech track. Mihir and Daniel are already at Rock Eagle and will train under the STEM track immediately following their Georgia Officer Training earlier this week.

We are proud of our Tift 4-H leaders! 🍀 shoutout to Ben Hill 4-H ambassador Anna Lugo who is also headed to Rock Eagle to be trained!
