This little pup came into the Tift County Animal Shelter in heartbreaking condition. She was found lying in someone’s driveway, vomiting and suffering from severe bloody diarrhea and lethargic. The kind person who found him rushed him to us, knowing she desperately needed help.
After evaluation, she tested positive for the dreaded parvo virus, a deadly and highly contagious disease that requires intensive treatment and around the clock care to survive. Despite how sick she was, we stepped up immediately to make sure she had a chance.
Parvo treatment is expensive, but turning our backs on animals like her is simply not an option. We are asking for your help to cover her medical expenses so we can continue saying “yes” to animals in critical condition when they have nowhere else to go
We decided to name her Fluttershy, inspired by the character from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. In the show, Fluttershy is known for her gentle spirit, her special connection and communication with animals, and her quiet but fierce protective nature toward those who need help. It felt like the perfect name for this tiny girl who came to us scared, fragile, and needing someone to fight for her.
