🤗 Today's piece: Safety

When a child enters foster care, their world is upended. Shattered routines, unfamiliar surroundings, and an uncertain future can leave their lives feeling like a puzzle with missing pieces. In the midst of so much change, what these precious children need most is a sense of absolute safety.

True safety isn’t just one single thing. It is a puzzle built from many vital pieces coming together:
🧩 The piece of physical security: A warm, safe bed of their own to sleep in at night.
🧩 The piece of emotional comfort: Knowing they are protected, valued, and shielded from harm.
🧩 The piece of a loving environment: Foster families who open their hearts and homes to provide a sanctuary where healing can finally begin.

We cannot build this safety net alone. Our End of the Year Campaign, Restoring Childhood Piece by Piece, is a reminder that it takes an entire community to wrap around these children and make them feel whole again.

No piece is too small to make a difference. Together, we can fit the pieces into place and surround local foster youth with the safety they deserve. 🥰

Grandparents who step up to raise their grandchildren are the unsung heroes of our communities, providing vital stability when life gets upended. Through their incredible love and sacrifice, they ensure these children stay connected to family, culture, and a sense of belonging.

"I just want to give a BIG “shout out” to Called to Care Brantley County. I received my granddaughter and grandson as kinship care unexpectedly. I was also keeping my nieces twin babies sometimes, and I needed two twin bed frames, personal care items, and clothing for them. I contacted Mrs. Jess with Called to Care, and she let the children pick their own clothing and personal items from the Resource Center, and they also provided the bed.

I don’t know what I would have done without the help and support we have received from them. God is good and He has put the right people over Called to Care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts." Grandmother P

🏠 Every child deserves a whole, unbroken childhood. But for children in foster care, their world has been upended, leaving their lives feeling like a puzzle with missing pieces—shattered routines, lost belongings, and uncertain futures.

💪🏾 We cannot rebuild their world alone. It takes an entire community to come together and make them feel whole again.

Our End of the Year Campaign, Piece by Piece, is all about completing the puzzle of restoring childhoods together. Every donation, every hour volunteered, and every prayer is a vital piece that restores what trauma has taken away. ❤️
