Owned and operated by Dustin Howell, Howell's Metal Works offers welding, fabrication, and repair services for a wide variety of projects. Whether it's repairing farm and industrial equipment, building custom fire rings, fabricating specialty metal products, or tackling larger projects like bridge framing and construction, Daniel brings years of hands-on experience and craftsmanship to every job.

Looking for resources, support, and practical tools to help strengthen families and build resilience? Join F.O.R.G.E. (Finding Opportunities for Resilience, Growth & Empowerment) for a one-day training event on Saturday, June 27, at the UGA Tifton Conference Center.

Hosted in collaboration with Strengthening Families Georgia (PCA Georgia), Ruth’s Cottage, and The Patticake House, this training will cover topics including caregiver resilience, social connections, child development, social and emotional competence, and concrete support for families.

Another great day of Leadership Tift! Yesterday, participants had the opportunity to explore the inner workings of both city and county government, hearing directly from elected officials, department heads, and community leaders about the services, projects, and decisions that impact our community every day.

The class also toured the City of Tifton Wastewater Treatment Plant, learned about downtown development efforts, participated in a hands-on budgeting exercise, and wrapped up the day with a visit to the newly renovated Tift County Government Annex Building.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their knowledge and provide a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep Tifton & Tift County moving forward. A special thank you to Mayor Julie Smith and Miriam Jordan, County Clerk for helping organize such an informative day for the class.

Experiences like these help develop informed, connected leaders who are invested in the future of our community.
