What's happening this Summer 2026? We planned day trips to UToledo with students interested in science fair projects. UToledo has a program called S.C.O.P.E https://www.utoledo.edu/nsm/ic/instruments/ICenter/S.C.O.P.E._Outreach.html They make available very expensive and highly technical analytical instruments to students. STEMMUnity has started these summer trips almost 12 years ago with Mr. Mason (TMS Science teacher). Mr. Mason continued this trip as a day trip during school. Meanwhile, STEMMUnity continued summer trips with high school students. This summer we had both high school and middle school students participating.

What's been happening at the TMS (Tiffin Middle School)? Working with UToledo, we started a program to learn/teach PLC programming to middle school and high school students. The goal is to program a PLC and build a "simple" robotic fixture to solve a Rubik's Cube puzzle.
