Five years. Countless memories. One community that made it all worth it.
Tanner Alsept's time at Tiffin University wasn't the traditional four-year path - and that's exactly what makes his story worth telling. From the wrestling mat to the residence halls, Tanner threw himself into everything TU had to offer and came out the other side with friendships, purpose and a clear direction forward.

What do you love most about Tiffin University?
"I love the community and the feeling of belonging. It’s genuinely a great place and has great memories to make and people to meet."

What were you involved in, outside of class?
"Men’s Wrestling, Tiffin Hall and Home Association (THHA), Residential Life, Dining Hall Committee, National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and Educational Guild."

What are you passionate about right now and why?
"I’m very passionate about Reslife. I love that you’re a meaningful impact on students, you have the ability to make a community with the students, help guide them across their four years here and make lifelong friendships."

What are some of the most important times to you on campus?
"Anytime I’m in the office is special to me - because I’m not only meeting with staff members or RAs, I also get to see a lot of our student population in Gillmor (Student Center). "

What do you want us to tell about your story?
"I think my story is unconventional. I’ve been here for five years - I’ve made some of the best memories, have made lifelong friends and I feel like that’s what it is all about. It’s not how you started it - it’s about how you finish and what you do along the way that matters."

What are your goals after TU?
"My goal is to become a neighborhood director at another institution and then work my way up to it either an Assistant Dean of Students or a Dean of Students later down the road."

What began as a part time job while earning his master's degree at Tiffin University became the foundation for something much bigger.

Today, Chris Chase ('03, '05) has grown MST PUB Tiffin/Sauce Company into a business built on community, connection and creating a place where people feel at home. His story is a reminder that lasting impact often starts with seeing potential and having the courage to build.
