Planning for the future of Downtown Tiffin!

Our Downtown Development Board met this morning to begin developing our 2027 Transformation Strategy, an important component of our Heritage Ohio and Main Street America accreditation process.

Using community survey input, research, data and ongoing downtown development efforts, the board worked together to identify both continued priorities and new goals for the year ahead. These conversations help guide our work as we continue revitalizing and growing Downtown Tiffin while ensuring our historic downtown remains a welcoming place that serves our community, businesses and visitors.

We are excited about the ideas taking shape and look forward to continuing the momentum in 2027!

🍕 Downtown Tiffin’s annual Pizza Party is back!

Join us for September Third Thursday on Thursday, September 17, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM for an evening of pizza, entertainment, and community fun throughout Downtown Tiffin.

Sample pizza and pizza-inspired favorites from local eateries, enjoy T-Town DJ in the RTA Lot, and visit community organizations set up along Court Street. Tickets are $2 each, with proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of Seneca County.

Get your tickets ahead of time and be ready to enjoy the evening! Advance tickets are available now at Ralph’s Joy of Living, Pan Yan Bookstore, Washington Street Outfitters, and Simply Susan’s. Tickets will also be available for purchase during the event.

Downtown Tiffin is proud to announce that three local projects and businesses have been named finalists for the 2026 Heritage Ohio Awards.

Tiffin Community Kitchen — Best Commercial Rehabilitation
Spivey Manley House — Best Residential Restoration
Big Mike's — Main Street Business of the Year

Each finalist represents a unique contribution to Downtown Tiffin, from the thoughtful rehabilitation and preservation of historic properties to continued investment, entrepreneurship and community engagement.

The finalists will be recognized during the 2026 Heritage Ohio Award Ceremony on September 30 in Cincinnati as part of the Heritage Ohio Annual Conference.

Congratulations to the individuals, businesses and organizations whose work has earned this statewide recognition and continues to contribute to the vitality of Downtown Tiffin.

First Step Domestic Violence Services is expanding its presence in Seneca County with a new secure location in Downtown Tiffin. 💜

The new location will provide individuals with a private, accessible place to receive support while navigating the criminal justice system and connecting with local resources.

The expansion comes just in time for Domestic Violence Awareness Month and will help bring important services closer to the courts, law enforcement, Victim Assistance, and other community partners.

What a night in Downtown Tiffin!

Last night’s Taste in Downtown Tiffin 2026 was one for the books! We had beautiful weather, an incredible turnout, delicious food from our local restaurants, and a fantastic Band Bash featuring our talented high school and university marching bands. Downtown was filled with great food, music, and so many people enjoying the evening together!

A huge THANK YOU to Seneca News Daily, Reineke Family Dealerships, all of our amazing volunteers, and the local restaurants and eateries that participated and helped make the evening such a success. And, of course, thank you to everyone who came downtown to join in the fun!

We’re already looking forward to September! Join us for our next Downtown Tiffin Third Thursday, the annual PIZZA Party, on Thursday, September 17 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Downtown Tiffin is proud to celebrate Big Mike's for being named one of three finalists for Heritage Ohio’s 2026 Main Street Business of the Year award! This recognition celebrates businesses that make a meaningful impact in their downtown communities, and we are thrilled to see one of our own recognized at the state level.

The winner will be announced at the Heritage Ohio Annual Conference awards ceremony on Wednesday, September 30, at the historic Woodward Theatre in downtown Cincinnati.

Each year, Heritage Ohio, the state-wide Main Street coordinating agency under Main Street America, honors the people, places and projects that exemplify a commitment to growth through preservation and revitalization. This year, “Big Mike's” in Tiffin has been selected as one of three finalists for the “Main Street Business of the Year” award.

This year, the award ceremony will be Wednesday, September 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the historic Woodward Theatre in downtown Cincinnati. The award ceremony is a part of the 2026 Heritage Ohio Annual Conference, and is free and open to anyone to attend.
