The Jamie Lininger Memorial Fund of Tiffin Community Foundation was created by his family in 2025 to honor the memory of Jamie Lininger who was at his best as a coach and family man, deeply committed to his family, his community, and his passions. For 26 years, Jamie was a dedicated teacher at New Riegel Schools, where he wore many hats. He was especially renowned as the head softball coach for 17 seasons, leading his teams to an impressive 331-133 record, three State Semifinal appearances, and ensuring every player made it to at least one Regional Tournament. His induction into the Ohio High School Softball Fastpitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2021 speaks volumes about his impact on the sport and his players, mentoring 19 All-Ohio athletes. He also served as the Athletic Director for several years. Jamie will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to those he loved, and his profound influence as a mentor and coach who shaped the lives of countless students and athletes.
This fund provides annual scholarships to all graduating seniors who have been 4-year participants in softball at New Riegel High School. This years recipients are Lacey Schalk and Ruthann Baughman! Congratulations!

We offer our most sincere sympathy to the Elchert Family and friends who have recently lost their sweet Shirley. When daughter Casey passed in 1997, we were all heartbroken to lose such a vibrant and promising young lady. The family has created a scholarship fund to support the future of similar students demonstrating the same quality of character that Casey exemplified in her life. That is a mature sense of responsibility, high moral values, and devotion to family, friends, school, and community. Congratulations to John Bremyer and Cohen Stull who are the 2026 winners of the Casey Rochelle Elchert Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Father Edmund F. Morman, until his death on February 17, 1986, demonstrated by example, his devotion to God, his church, and the students of the New Riegel community. Father Morman gave his love and his life to God, his church, and the people he touched, and showed particular concern for the youth of the community and the benefits of a good education. His friends, church and community members, and local organizations have contributed money towards the establishment of a scholarship fund as a lasting tribute to Father Morman. Ashley Elchert is the winner of the 2026 Father Edmund F Morman Scholarship. Congratulations Ashley!
