We had a wonderful weekend celebrating God’s faithfulness across the Iowa District Church of the Nazarene! 🙌

One of the highlights was celebrating Pastor Jacques Luzindya of Mountain of the Lord Church, who was ordained after faithfully completing a 10-year journey of preparation and ministry.

Join us in thanking God for His faithfulness and congratulating Pastor Jacques on this significant milestone. We’re excited to see how God will continue to use him to impact lives for His Kingdom.

This week we were reminded why we love House Churches.

No stage. No lights. No perfect setup. Just people opening God's Word, sharing their stories, praying for one another, and creating a safe place for others to encounter Jesus.

As our leaders visited House Churches this past weekend, they witnessed something incredible: people asking hard questions, praying boldly, and lives being changed. In both House Churches, someone gave their life to Christ.

That's the beauty of biblical community. It's not about a pastor, a building, or a program. It's about Jesus and one another.

We're so thankful for the way God is moving through our House Churches as people take ownership of their faith, encourage one another, and learn to rely on Him together.

Because of your generosity, we’re able to sponsor a 14-year-old boy named Freddy in Peru.

Freddy loves playing soccer, singing at church, and dreams of becoming a doctor someday.

He recently wrote to us:
“I greet you in the name of Jesus. I want to tell you that on weekends, I help my mom by washing the dishes and washing my clothes. When I get home from my classes, I start doing my homework and I help my siblings. Sometimes we go out for walks, we eat, we visit other places. On Sundays, I go to the house of God and sing and listen to the beautiful word of God. I really like going to church. I ask that you'll pray for me and my family, for my grandparents, and for my studies. In the name of Jesus, thank you.”

Help Send Our Teens to Camp This Summer 🌊🔥

This July, we’re sending a group of teens to Camp Table Rock in the Lake of the Ozarks—a week full of extreme fun and rock-solid faith-building. It’s a powerful environment where students encounter Jesus in a real, honest way and take steps forward in their personal relationship with Him.

This year, 8 teens from our Cedar Rapids and house church communities are planning to go 🙌

The cost is $340 per student, which can be a stretch—especially for families with multiple kids. Our goal is to raise $2,720 to make sure every teen who wants to go can go.

Our doors are open every Monday from 9 AM–3 PM for a time of quiet, open prayer in the sanctuary of Infuse Church Cedar Rapids.

🕊 Guided Prayer: 11:00–11:30 AM

Come pray with others, or simply sit with God. Then carry it with you—into your home, your small group, and your everyday life.

CRISIS CARE KITS NEEDED BY JUNE 28

When disaster hits, something simple can bring real hope. 💛

Crisis Care Kits provide essential items to families facing storms, war, and crisis—reminding them they’re not alone in the middle of it all.

Items needed for each kit:
• 1 bottle of shampoo (12–18 oz)
• 2 bars of soap
• 1 toothpaste (4–6.4 oz)
• 3 toothbrushes
• 1 box of band-aids (30+)
• 1 fingernail clipper
• 1 hair comb
• 2 bath hand towels
• 4 pocket-size packs of facial tissue
• 1 small stuffed toy
• 7 regular, unscented sanitary pads

Before you drop it off, pause and pray for the person who will receive it—asking God to protect, comfort, and provide for them. 🙏

Let’s be a tangible expression of love in a hurting world.

House Church Update 🤍

We’re just 3 weeks into our transition to house churches, and what we’re seeing is incredibly encouraging.

• People who once only came on holidays are now showing up every week
• We’ve already welcomed someone new
• There have been tears, honest conversations, and meaningful moments
• Every house church is walking through the Gospel together
• And kids are stepping up in beautiful ways—one 8-year-old even gathered the other kids and taught the lesson on Jonah and Jesus herself

It’s a powerful reminder: there are many ways people come to know Jesus. For some, a Sunday service in a building isn’t the right fit—but a living room, a table, a smaller community… that’s where they’re opening up and encountering Him.
House churches are also a simple, powerful way for us to multiply and reach more people.

Would you join us in praying?
Pray for the leaders. Pray for each home. Pray that God continues to move in ways we can’t manufacture.
