It's Fair Week in Seneca County!

As you enjoy everything the Seneca County Fair has to offer, be sure to stop by our beautiful flower bed and our American 250 White Oak tree at the entrance to the fairgrounds. The tree was planted to commemorate America's 250th anniversary and is a wonderful addition to the fairgrounds ❤️🤍💙

While you're there, we'd also love to see you at the Seneca County Master Gardener Volunteer booth in the Kneeskern Building.

Stop in to meet our volunteers, ask your gardening questions, and learn more about gardening in our community.

We look forward to seeing you at the fair!

As the growing season progresses, fruit growers often face new challenges and questions related to crop production, pest management, fruit quality, and harvest preparation.

To help Ohio growers navigate these issues, we are offering a free two-part webinar series, All About Fruit, designed to provide timely answers and expert insights during the heart of the production season.

The webinar series will feature live question-and-answer sessions with members of the Ohio State University Extension Fruit and Vegetable Team. Participants are encouraged to bring their current production questions and receive on-the-spot guidance from Extension educators and specialists. In addition, attendees will hear updates on fruit production conditions and emerging issues from around the state.

The series includes two sessions focused on different areas of fruit production:

🫐 Small Fruit Production | Aug. 4, 2026 (12-1 p.m.)

🍎 Tree Fruit Production | Aug. 6, 2026 (12-1 p.m.)

Growers may attend one or both sessions, as different topics and questions will be addressed during each webinar. The program is free, but advance registration is required.

All sessions will be recorded, and recordings will be shared with everyone who registers.

Hear the words that helped shape a nation.🇺🇸

Be part of the ongoing nationwide celebration of America's 250th anniversary right here in Seneca County!

Join the Ohio State University Extension - Seneca County on Wednesday, July 8, at 6pm for a public reading of the Declaration of Independence. The gathering will take place at the America 250 Tree (planted by the Seneca County Master Gardener Association) and flagpole, located near the Seneca County Fairgrounds entrance.

As communities across the country gather for this special observance, Seneca County 4-H members will bring the Declaration of Independence to life by reading the very words first shared publicly in 1776.

This free community event is a chance to reflect on our nation's history, honor the ideals of liberty and independence, and celebrate the values that continue to unite us 250 years later.

Bring your family, invite a friend, and join us for this meaningful evening!
