Meet Laney Bates, a member of the Leadership Seneca County !

Laney works at The Mennel Milling Company, where she appreciates the strong family values and close-knit culture. She also enjoys helping curate and share Mennel’s 140-year legacy with the public.

One of Laney’s favorite parts of Leadership Seneca County has been exploring local businesses and establishments she may not have otherwise discovered, gaining a deeper appreciation for the community.

Originally from , Ohio, Laney moved to Seneca County just under a year ago. She says what stands out most is the opportunity the area offers - whether you’re active, creative, or entrepreneurial, there’s something here for everyone to get involved and pursue their .

Meet Merissa Seitz, a member of the Leadership Seneca County !

Merissa works at the Seneca County Juvenile and Probate Court and Youth Center, where she finds fulfillment in helping guide juveniles toward positive and supporting them in becoming better individuals.

One of Merissa’s favorite parts of Leadership Seneca County has been learning about the wide range of industries and businesses in the area - many of which she didn’t realize were right here in the community.

Merissa calls , Ohio home and appreciates the many educational opportunities available throughout Seneca County.

Tracie works at Journey Group Tiffin, where she enjoys being part of a growing organization and building strong relationships with clients and the .

Meet Jennifer Link, a member of the Leadership Seneca County !

Jen works as an SSA for the Seneca County Board of DD-Seneca County Opportunity Center, where her favorite part of the job is getting to meet and support amazing kids and their families.

One of Jen’s favorite parts of Leadership Seneca County has been touring different places and learning more about all the organizations and resources throughout the county.

Born and raised in , Jen appreciates the variety Seneca County offers - from businesses and parks to two colleges and a community full of people who truly care.

Meet Karsten Walton, a member of the Leadership Seneca County !

Karsten works at Preferred Pathways, where he values being part of a and enjoys connecting with the individuals they serve. He says that even when they may not realize it, those interactions are life-changing for him as well.

One of Karsten’s favorite parts of Leadership Seneca County has been learning more about the community and building connections with other leaders.

Karsten calls Tiffin, Ohio home and appreciates the many opportunities Seneca County offers to stay active and engaged, including local parks, the YMCA, and Grace Community Church.

Meet Michael Miller, a member of the Leadership Seneca County class!

Michael works at Grace Community Church in Tiffin, where he enjoys studying the Bible and deepening his understanding so he can effectively and share it with others.

One of Michael’s favorite parts of Leadership Seneca County so far has been learning more about the Tiffin area. He’s enjoyed discovering just how much is happening locally and the many opportunities available within the community.

Originally from Fremont, Michael now lives in Lindsey. He appreciates the strong sense of pride throughout Seneca County and how it’s reflected in the way people care for their town and one another.

Nicki works at Concordance Healthcare Solutions, where her favorite part of the job is the people she works with and making sure customer needs are met.

Nicki grew up in New Riegel and currently resides in Bascom. She says her favorite thing about Seneca County is its close-knit, family-oriented .

Meet Judy Dezse, a member of the Leadership Seneca County !

Judy works with the Seneca County Collaborative, where her favorite part of the job is taking action to help make Seneca County the best place to live, work, play, visit, and grow.

One of Judy’s favorite parts of Leadership Seneca County so far has been working on the class project. She believes that even if just one person is helped by learning about or receiving a ROTH ID Tag, it means the group is making a meaningful impact in the community.

Originally from Galesburg, Michigan, Judy says what she loves most about Seneca County is the people. She describes it as a tight-knit that truly cares and takes action.
