Announcing the 2026-2027 Ohio Lamb and Wool Ambassador:

Alexander Fitzpatrick is the son of Mike and Julia Fitzpatrick of Seneca County. Alex raises Cheviot and Scottish Blackface sheep. This fall, he will be a freshman at Wilmington College, majoring in Ag Education with a concentration in Animal Science.

Weigh in starts at 11 on Sunday, we will have a quick barn meeting before, please have your online forms filled out.

Breeding sheep. Please have your breeding sheep check in form filled out and breed registration papers to check in.

Sheep Tag in is tomorrow 5/2/2026 8am-10am. Please use the main gate and a junior Fair board member will direct you in the direction of the super barn, where we will be tagging lambs! We have an information packet to give out so be on the lookout for that also!

Happy Monday morning! Yes, there is such a thing as a happy Monday morning. New opportunities arise on Monday, just like this one. A brand new jackpot show is coming to the Ohio LEAD circuit! We have a bunch of great prizes and big opportunities. We are excited to bring more to you in the next couple of days, including sponsorship opportunities, introductions, and all things Showdown. Stay tuned and please help us by sharing our page with the people you know!

Welcome everyone, to another year of the fair. We have a few things to go over with everyone in the department.

For starters, we will have sheep tagging on May 2nd from 8-10am. We plan on passing out lots of information on the upcoming year. Stay tuned for the route. We plan on passing out a packet with all of the information for this year‘s fair. 

Secondly Seneca Showdown Jackpot Show… The Sheep department is hosting a jackpot show through the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association “Lead” show series. The proceeds from this show will go directly towards the Born and Raised show at the Seneca County Fair. The more successful this show is, the more successful the Born and Raised show at the fair will be. If you are looking to volunteer, please reach out. There are still sponsorship opportunities available as well. There is a link to the sale site for the jackpot show.

Lastly, we are still trying to raise money for new pens! Please reach out if you are interested or know someone that is interested in sponsoring a pen for the fair
