The Tidioute Recycling Center is closed. Unfortunately our power line was damaged in the recent storm and we can not accept items during this time.

PLEASE REMOVE CAPS/LIDS! This is horrible for the volunteers and we DO NOT recycle the caps! At the Tidioute Recycling Center, ignore what the bottle tells you to do. Thanks.

We are accepting quotes to cut down a dying tree in the Deerfield Cemetery on Jefferson Street. The tree is located on the downhill end in the center of the cemetery. Must be insured or bonded due to working around civil war era tombstones.

There was A LOT of garbage left at the Recycling Center this week. Most of this was put in the #2 plastic bins. Please do not leave us your garbage! The only plastic we accept is #1 and #2. Tidioute is better than this ❤

The Tidioute Recycling Center is currently closed and we are not accepting any items until further notice. This is due to multiple factors. We have very few volunteers and with the extreme weather are unable to put in more hours. The weather also prevents us from being able to move bailed material outside. The enclosed trailer we used to transport material out of our warehouse to vendors rusted away so we have material stacked to the ceiling and are out of room. We have purchased a new trailer and will be doing what we can to clear out our warehouse. We haven't been able to move material for about 6 weeks and we hope it will not take that long to clean up. During this time we ask people not to stockpile recyclables at home hoping to bring them to the center. This will only make our recovery process take longer. Do not bring anything to the center until we reopen. Anyone dumping materials can be subject to a fine.

The Tidioute Recycling Center ONLY accepts plastics labeled #1 & #2. We cannot recycle yogurt, cottage cheese, or butter containers. We do not recycle plastic hangers, plastic cutlery, coffee pods, lids, or toys. Please check the bottom of containers to be sure we accept them. The volunteers thank you for your courtesy!
