Burning Woman Arts Entertainment Social Improvement Community The date for Burning Woman is Lughnasad August 7 'Sirius' dog days of summer. F**k Patriarchy!

The Burning Woman ("BW") Charter:
A) BW Exists to promote:
1) Free Education
2) The Arts
3) Direct Local Charitable/Environmental/Social and Communal improvement/building etc. (planning and executing campaigns for short term as well as long term/lasting positive change and growth)
4) Honoring Gaia/Nature/The Goddess

B) Burning Woman is to remain a free event

C) BW is to remain:
1) A "100%" Pac

ifist organization
2) Self Determined
3) Self Supported (BW does not affiliate with any Political or Religious groups or identities (lest they be of our own making)
4) An environment open to sharing all ideas and beliefs so as to honour/learn from/share/integrate and celebrate them (as long as they are pacifist in nature as per item A1)

D) Burning Woman may continue in other regions so that the message and positive influence may spread

Burning Woman is an anarcho-syndicalist commune. The idea is to both celebrate the Goddess locally (SF Bay Area until it spreads to sister cities), as well as foster Direct Action involvement in our community. Seemed it was time for Direct Action as well as for Burning Man to have a schism (make it local and accessible and start with a new Philosophy). I will build a metal Statue (I welcome help) that will be lit without affecting it so that there can be a 'burn' without the Statuette being affected. This way instead of being about leaving cares and such behind, it's about the joy and the care we embrace and take on that day and until the next Burning Woman. As a note this statue (and lighting it and around it) may represent different things for different people and as such is not an idol but a celebratory and participatory theater/celebration/ritual/party/marking of season, etc. Also, I HAVE found an Excellent secret outdoor safe location. The original festival is burning MAN (typical) and the GODDESS has been pushed down for TOO LONG! Why is our neutral term for human not woman instead of man? Balance is what we need starting with recouping ages of lost ground. I am fully aware that I am a man and I ask anyone to join the anarcho-syndicalist commune and hope to get people of all walks of Life to join...I grew up with older ardent feminist sisters I have BurningWomanSF.com and BurningHuman.org as the parent group because if there's war between Man and Woman there would be no one left haha

Calling all Dj's. Haul a crate of vinyl or a pocketfull of USB sticks with .mp3's to Burning Woman and you get a time slot. It's that simple. 'Solid' date to be announced. The event date is partly dependent on Your input (you the reader/Performer/Participant). Please give your vote. I will set a firm date within 2 weeks (get your votes in). The current event date is planned for Late November or early September. Thank You All!
