Meet our 2026 Grantees - Bright Spot Network.

As cancer rates rise among adults ages 20–49, and especially the alarming rise among young women with breast cancer, Bright Spot Network fills a critical gap as the only national nonprofit solely focused on supporting parents with cancer, raising young children. A parent’s diagnosis creates significant financial strain on top of the emotional and logistical demands of caregiving and treatment. The Bright Grants program responds to these unique needs by providing flexible, barrier-free financial support that families can use where it is most urgent.

Meet our 2026 Grantees - Pilipino Senior Resource Center

PSRC's Kapwa Kalinga (KK) addresses subtle cultural needs/variances that would have been discounted, remain unnoticed, unmet and fallen through the cracks without their intervention. Their ethnically sensitive approaches make sure that the needs of Filipino breast cancer patients are well served. They believe that, through their caring services and sharing experiences - PSRC makes available a compassionate space for self realization and confidence building - and, that they are not alone in their battle with the disease.

Meet our 2026 Grantees - Latinas Contra Cancer

The Care through Patient Navigation (CPED) program serves uninsured and underinsured Latina women who are Spanish-speaking, low-income, or socially isolated in Santa Clara County, with some services in San Mateo County. CPED delivers culturally responsive health education, patient navigation across the cancer continuum, and connection to food, housing, transportation, and financial assistance to promote treatment adherence and continuity of care.

Meet our 2026 Grantees - Marin Health Foundation

"Diagnostics for Under Served Breast Health Patients" offers financial assistance to qualified patients who cannot otherwise afford these lifesaving, valuable services related to cancer screening and diagnostics. These services include: breast MRI, core biopsies, diagnostic mammograms, 3D mammograms, and ultrasounds. Qualified, underserved patients may not have insurance at all, or have lost their insurance, or coverage is minimal. A patient may otherwise not schedule a timely diagnostic procedure or delay it, which can have catastrophic impact with breast cancer. The goal of the project is to serve qualified, underserved patients in a timely way to ensure they have access to the diagnostic imaging procedures that are directed by their physician.

Meet our 2026 Grantees - Marin Center for Independent Living (Marin CIL)

The Mary Mathews Project, named after team member Mary Mathews who passed away from breast cancer in 2013, is Marin CIL’s critical care assistance program for people recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The Mary Matthews Project helps individuals acquire and/or maintain health insurance benefits, housing, and financial stability during breast cancer treatments and, just as importantly, through the recovery process. Marin CIL is one of only a few organizations located in Marin that provide direct financial assistance. Since its inception, The Mary Matthews Project has consistently been led by team members with lived experience who have navigated their own breast cancer diagnoses.

Meet our 2026 Grantees - Shanti Project

The Shanti Project's Cancer Program is one of San Francisco's most comprehensive and sustained efforts supporting individuals living with cancer. Shanti's multilingual, multicultural Care Navigators spend at least three hours per month with each client from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. They focus on reducing isolation and creating a community of shared experiences among underrepresented clients by mitigating linguistic, cultural, and logistical issues commonly faced.
