Meet our 2026 Grantees - Charlotte Maxwell Clinic

Charlotte Maxwell Clinic serves people who are hardest to reach, those most at risk due to systemic barriers and vulnerable to serious breast cancer outcomes. Their services are completely free, they offer a range of integrative modalities, and therapies are delivered by dedicated volunteers whom they continuously train to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, cancer-specific integrative care. They create a community of safety and dignity, supporting clients often dehumanized by societal and medical systems, while centering quality of life for every individual.

Meet our 2026 Grantees - Women's Cancer Resource Center (WCRC)

The Faith Fancher Breast Cancer Fund supports underserved breast cancer patients in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, where women have among the Bay Area’s highest cancer mortality rates. Many are low-income seniors from communities facing persistent disparities. With limited local cancer-specific resources, the Fund offers confidential, low-barrier grants for rent, utilities, food, and insurance co-pays. The application protects privacy and trusts clients to identify urgent needs without burdensome documentation. WCRC also coordinates transportation support with local partners.

Meet our 2026 Grantees - NOVA12SF

Nova12SF is a 12-mile walk that takes place in San Francisco during October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month). The 12 miles represent the 12% of women who develop breast cancer, and the route highlights breast cancer disparities in the city and county of San Francisco. The support of this grant will allow Nova12SF to continue providing desperately needed funds to under-resourced patients who receive their care at San Francisco General Hospital.

Money raised from NOVA12SF goes right back to those communities most directly affected by breast cancer. Nova12SF places as few barriers as possible so that patients can access much-needed financial support. Many of these patients are also unable to take sick leave from their employers and, as a result, have great difficulty paying their bills.

On April 1st, we were thrilled to award $270,000 in grant funding to 16 outstanding Bay Area organizations which support women and men with breast health issues. We were honored to acknowledge the 2026 Grantees at our annual Grants Reception for the services and support they provide for breast cancer patients in our communities.

Grant recipients are located throughout the nine-county Bay Area. These organizations provide emergency and direct services, diagnostic screening, financial assistance, patient navigation, holistic complementary therapies and emotional support programs to underserved breast cancer patients.

This year's grant recipients were chosen from a pool of applicants by the Foundation's Grants Review Committee, which consists of community health and medical leaders, supporters, past and present Foundation board directors, many who have personally experienced breast cancer.
