Thank you to and for the invitation to join the training symposium at the earlier this week. Our team talked about the methodology used in the Aquatic Park recovery, utilizing side scan sonar technology and obsessive review. We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with law enforcement to share our skills to bring our loved ones back.

Last week we got a call to help search for Alex Barboza near Yerba Buena island in San Francisco. The San Francisco Bay, while shallow in most parts, does experience strong winds and currents that can move someone great distances from their initial entry area. While we didn’t find Alex that day, we’re proud to be able to respond quickly and be ready when a family reaches out. We’re also able to help direct families to the right agencies for additional support. While we might not always be able to find someone, we do everything we can to help with our vast network of agency connections and 25+ years of experience. Our hearts are always with the family at these times.

We are a highly experienced group of volunteers with decades of recovering drowning victims dedicated to quietly, respectfully assisting families and law enforcement with underwater recoveries of drowning victims. We maintain privacy and discretion that are mandatory and honorable when helping families during and after a recovery. Furthermore, we guard all parties from further emotional trauma and any victimization.
