Hello all, as many of you know, I left 4-H after 22 years of service. I miss the kids so much! The last few years of being at the helm of the club I was not a good community club leader. I was so very sick and couldn't take the time it needed to have a fun and successful season. My foolish pride kept me from sharing how grave my condition was right up until transplant. I have Alpha-1 Antitripsin Deficiency. Alpha 1 is a hereditary disease that affects lungs and liver. Therefore I needed a liver transplant. Praise the Lord on February 6, 2025 after 5 months in the hospital, a liver, MY liver came. It's been a battle, but im willing to fight it. I am reaching out to all of my 4-H family to please help me. Yep, im swallowing my pride. My medical expenses have taken over, even after insurance. If you can't or would rather not donate, would you please share this? I would be so grateful. Also I have a medical expenses account at B of A and would be willing to share the QR code for that if anyone wants it. Monies go directly to that account with no added fees. Also, Robles Ranchers is still rockin'. Kaity (Former club member & President) is leading the troops once again this year. She's been doing a great job and has a great group of parents and leaders.
