Today, we were honored to attend event where we were generously awarded a donation in support of our mission to fund medical care for shelter animals at 💙

We are so grateful for their continued support over the years and for being such a meaningful part of our community. Thank you to our president, Tamy, for speaking on behalf of the animals, their medical needs, and the 30 years of lifesaving work Healthcare for Homeless Animals has been honored to support.

Community support like this helps us continue funding the medical care, healing, and second chances our shelter animals deserve. ✨❤️‍🩹

Meet Blue 💙

A few weeks ago, Blue arrived at the shelter barely able to put weight on his right hind leg. Diagnostics at Malibu Coast Animal Hospital revealed a severe knee injury, advanced arthritis, and a major patellar luxation that had likely been causing him pain for quite some time.

Healthcare for Homeless Animals (nonprofit) stepped in to fund Blue’s medical care, including diagnostics, radiographs, medications, orthopedic surgery, hospitalization, parasite treatment, and follow-up care so he could finally get the treatment he needed.

Blue returned to the vet for suture removal and his post-operative recheck. The veterinary team was thrilled with his progress. His repair is healing beautifully, his recovery is right on track, and he is expected to make a full recovery. He will benefit from a little physical therapy and continued strengthening, but his future is looking very bright.

And if you’ve met Blue, you know his personality shines just as much as his smile. He’s sweet, goofy, affectionate, toy-loving, and always ready for attention, treats, belly rubs, and making new friends.

A special thank you to and for helping support Blue’s medical care.

Now all Blue needs is a family 🫪

📍 Available for adoption at the Agoura Animal Care Center

If you can’t adopt Blue, please share him. Every share gives another person the chance to fall in love with this sweet boy and helps him get one step closer to the forever home he deserves. 💙

We are a nonprofit that funds vital medical care for the shelter animals in need at the Agoura Animal Care Center (Los Angeles County Animal Care & Control).

Every day, animals arrive sick or injured, often with treatable conditions that stand between them and adoption. At Healthcare for Homeless Animals, we fund the veterinary care they need so they can heal and get their second chance.

We believe every animal deserves access to care, a chance to recover, and a loving home.

Your support makes that possible. 🐾

Meet Robby 💙
Robby has Megaesophagus, often called ME. It’s a condition where the esophagus doesn’t move food properly into the stomach, which means dogs like Robby rely on gravity instead of muscle movement to eat safely.

That’s why Robby uses a Bailey Chair for meals. Eating upright and staying upright afterward helps food reach his stomach and reduces the risk of aspiration. It takes time, routine, and patience, but it also allows dogs with ME to thrive.

Dogs with special medical needs aren’t broken. They’re adaptable, resilient, and just as full of love as any other dog. With the right care, structure, and support, they live joyful, meaningful lives.

Robby is proof that different needs don’t mean less quality of life.
They just mean love looks a little more intentional. 💙

Thank you for taking the time to learn about ME and for helping us spread awareness for dogs like Robby. He is available for adoption and looking for his a home and parents who can give him the patience and care he needs.

Please like, comment & SHARE to get Robby seen and adopted!
