Hey LucStrong friends, we are excited to announce that our 3rd annual LucStrong Poker Tournament & Gala Fundraiser was a great success and because of your generosity, we hit our goal of raising $40,000 to help 20 families with children fighting SCD!!!!
The Caribbean vibe was strong. People were dressed in their Island flair as reggae music filled the air. Poker, casino games, dancing, and jerk chicken..what a combination!!! Plus we raised a good amount of money to help children fighting sickle cell disease. Special thanks to our very own Stacie Lagattuta, Tim Varnell, The LucStrong Team, Marcel Douglas (Island Spice Tingz), Jenn Laurent (Black Women Vend), Sonya Mills (Photography), Click Tha Supah Latin (DJ), and our wonderful sponsor Chick-fil-A (Victory & Fallbrook). Much love and thanks to all. We can’t wait to do it again next year!!!

10 years…and yet today feels like 10 days.
I can’t really put into words the depth of the void of not having you physically here. It hurts in ways that I can’t even describe.
We still miss you so much, Luc.
BUT GOD!
I take comfort in knowing that you are in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
I take comfort in knowing that you are exploring the wonders of heaven with your Paw Paw and so many other loved ones who have joined you in paradise.
I take comfort in knowing that we are STILL surrounded by people who both knew you and know of you and they continue to extend their love to us.

So in the midst of the pain we are still thankful and it has led me to my purpose…

Through your legacy we have served many sickle cell warriors like you and will continue to do so. God is using the impact of your legacy to touch the lives of many children across this country and in that we also take comfort.
Luc, you are truly missed and this calling on my life is not easy. But by the grace of God, we will continue serving the sickle cell community and honoring your legacy through the work of The LucStrong Foundation.

My life is not the same without you. But I am forever changed because of you.❤️

The LucStrong 3rd Annual Poker Tournament & Gala Fundraiser is now open for registration. This year’s event pairs the sophistication of a charity tournament with a vibrant, upscale Caribbean theme.
From a gourmet Caribbean dinner to casino games, a live DJ, and poker tournament for prizes, it is going to be a spectacular night. Best of all, every ticket and donation brings us closer to our $40,000 goal to support 20 incredible families walking through the realities of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD).

Thank you to everyone who came out to The LucStrong 10th Annual Kickball Tournament Fundraiser! We had an incredible time giving a kick to sickle cell disease.

Many teams competed and four made it to the playoffs. The rivalry was back with Team DHL and Team Stolen Glory making it to The LucStrong Bowl. Team DHL won 5-2 and secured their 4th championship in 5 years! CONGRATULATIONS to them and thank you to all who competed and supported. Thank you also to our sponsors: Chick-fil-A (Victory & Fallbrook), Astek, DD’s Chick & Cat Shack, & Live The Word. The foundation and the families we serve are blessed by it!
