2026 Pink Ribbon Dance was attended by over 150 dancers October 11 to benefit the City of Hope fight to cure Breast Cancer. This was one of our best dances ever with callers Dick Hodnefield; Dale Hoppers; Phil Farmers; Rod Shuping, Mike Seastrom; and Cindy Mower on rounds all generously donating their time and talent. We had over 50 baskets in the silent auction all worth over $100 each with many local businesses donating items in the baskets. There were also 2 beautiful handmade quilts auctioned off. We had a hero wall where people donated money honoring cancer victims and survivors. Proceeds from this dance made well over $10,000 which has broken all records for all our fundraisers and all previous Pink Ribbon Dances. Much thank you to all participants; donors; and especially the entire dance committee and their inspirational leader Kathy Davis. Dawn Kinney made a fantastic, delicious pink champaign cake with strawberry filling and buttercream icing. Thousand Oaks mayor Pro Tem Bob Engler was there to thank us for supporting our community and our philanthropy to this worthy cause. Several of us attended an after party at Little Calf Cafe after the dance.
