Community Conscience We are unique in providing rent free space for charities.

The mission of Community Conscience is to provide a single location where human service programs are available and accessible at no cost to recipients and to maximize coordination among agencies. Community Conscience started in 1983 with 13 charities and 3 government agencies sharing 6 rooms in a local mall. Including government human service agencies has been key in two ways, they pay rent, and provide assistance. The program was so successful that funding was granted to buy land and build the Human Services Center which was completed in 1988. In 2001 an extension was added to the building due the growing need for non-profits to provide services. Today we still have a waiting list of non-profits who struggle to find space to continue their growing programs.
