New Study on the Parables Starts Tuesday!

Almost every culture in the world uses stories to communicate much deeper messages than might appear on the surface. Jesus often told His followers stories that are called “parables” in Scripture. He used familiar, everyday situations to help them understand powerful truths. But because these stories are rooted in the culture of His day and not our own, we often miss His point. Our modern, western minds get in the way.

Our new free, eight-week online series entitled Stories to Live By — The Parables of Christ will be offered on Tuesday mornings and again on Tuesday evenings beginning February 11. If you're interested in attending, please message us and we'll send you the meeting code. The studies will also be available later in the week on InTheWord.com and through our app, In The Word By Michele Telfer, available wherever apps are downloaded.

Our Valley...

This past week brought grief to our valley—a time of loss and shadows that seemed inescapable. Yet, even in the darkest valleys, God, our Shepherd, reminds us: “I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4).

No matter how deep the pain or stark the realities around us, we can trust in His unfailing presence. Shadows may dim our sight and chill our bones, but they cannot harm us forever. We are walking through this valley—this is not where we camp. God is leading us to a better place beyond the ridge.

If you’ve felt lost, paralyzed, or distant from Him, now is the time to press in. He is waiting to guide you. And as you follow, remember to call others to Him, so we all walk through to the other side together.
