📚Curriculum developer and teaching artist Carrie Wilcox shares how dance can be a powerful learning tool by supporting different learning styles, boosting classroom engagement, and helping students see themselves as artists. Through movement, students discover new ways to express who they are and how they learn best.

As a non-profit, we encourage creativity, confidence, and connection, while meeting students where they are and helping them grow through the arts.🎭

🌟 You may be wondering who created our curriculum… meet Carrie Wilcox, the heart behind BREATHE’s dance programs!

With over 30 years of experience, Carrie has dedicated her career to bringing creativity and movement into the classroom. Trained in integrating dance into early education, she has taught and led workshops nationwide, always inspiring children to find confidence and joy through dance.💕

We’re so grateful for her generosity in developing our curriculum and continuing to pass on her love of dance to the next generation. ✨

Want to bring creative dance & music programs to your school? 🎶 💃

BREATHE is looking to partner with local Parent–Teacher Associations and volunteer groups to
implement our K–5 dance & music curriculum in classrooms. By integrating movement,
storytelling, and performance into the school day, BREATHE provides educators with a NO-
COST option to enhance learning and foster creativity. Thanks to fundraising and generous
donor support, we can share this curriculum and teacher training free of charge.

✅ We’ll train your teachers (or parent volunteers!)
✅ Provide a curated curriculum designed for K–5 classrooms
✅ Help kids build confidence, creativity, and joy

Developed by Artist Carrie Wilcox, this program gives students a chance to explore their voices, build confidence, and engage their whole selves in learning through guided movement and imagination.

🌟StepUp empowers students to express themselves through dance! 🎶💃🏻 Developed over years of in-school and after-school programming, this curriculum blends creative movement, cultural dance exploration, and emotional growth. Designed for elementary and middle-schoolers, StepUp helps students connect, build confidence, and celebrate their individuality through a culminating showcase.

We’ve seen the impact firsthand, and now we’re sharing the tools for others to lead this transformative work in their own communities. ❤️🫂

This September, join us for a very special Chick Singer Night, where incredible voices take the stage to uplift a cause. 🎤 💜 For 37 years, has championed women in music across 20+ cities worldwide. While BREATHE is proud to support CSN year-round with performance grants, this night, CSN is generously supporting us. Your ticket to this showcase helps fund BREATHE’s music and dance programs in schools and beyond. 💫
