Looking forward to the fun!!

🎃 SAVE THE DATE! 🎃

Mark your calendars because one of Fairfield Beach’s favorite traditions is coming back…

👻 FBPOA Trunk or Treat
📅 Saturday, October 17

Bring the family for an evening of costumes, candy, and community fun!

✨ NEW THIS YEAR! ✨

We’re excited to introduce the Fairfield Beach Halloween Village!

We’re looking for the first official residents of Halloween Village to help bring this brand-new experience to life. Residents will create their own family-friendly Halloween “house” where trick-or-treaters can stop for candy, surprises, and plenty of Halloween fun.

We’re starting small this year, and we’d love for you to be part of creating a brand-new Fairfield Beach tradition.

🏚️ Are you a local business, family, organization, or community group interested in becoming one of our first Village residents?

📩 Contact Sandy Churchill for more information.

More details about Trunk or Treat, Halloween Village, and how you can participate will be announced soon.

We can’t wait to celebrate Halloween with everyone on October 17! 🎃👻

Our meeting tonight starts in about 15 minutes at the tornado shelter.

07/28/2026

Minutes Fairfield Beach Property Owners Association June 23, 2026

Call to order by Vice President Bruce Point followed by Pledge of Allegiance to flag of United States of America.

Approval minutes of May 2026 meeting by consensus of those present.

Treasurer report: Account balance $891.25 plus $125 not yet deposited Venmo will be activated by Saturday, in time for 4th of July sales. Tax filing is still pending.

Neighborhood watch: we have been provided with township statistics update by Sheriff liaison though no liaison was able to be present tonight. Members suggested that stop signs at the 4 corners of the park would promote safety for our children. We will plan to present this request at next township trustee meeting.

Member John Camm let us know that there will be 2 blood drives, one on Tuesday 14 July and second on Wednesday 5 August at the Millersport Lions Clubhouse.

Team led by Jen Young is keeping our lots mowed but more volunteers could be used, just one time mowing will help. Check our fbpoa.com page or our Fairfield Beach POA Facebook site to text Jen.

Community Yard Sale was mixed success. Evaluation and plans for next year are tabled until 2027.

Teams for BLASST led by Jen Young, with Deb Huckabee, Bruce Point, Julie Kellermeyer, Sue West and Daria Arbogast will sell ice pops, water and assorted glow trinkets on July 3rd. A vendors license has been secured. Venmo will be available by then. Donations of trinkets specifically for boys would be appreciated as we already have headbands are hair garlands for girls.

Summer sport concessions will be a project for 2027 and not be initiated this year.
Sweet corn festival booth will also be a project delayed until 2027.

Plan for The Last Splash on 1 August. We may have a water truck pending the approval of the fire chief to operate water activities such as slides. We anticipate 2 firemen will man the water truck for us. Plans in to ask for donations of cleansing wipes, sandwich bags, dry erase markers as requested by teachers. More book bags new or gently used are needed to be provided to students. Plan set up at 11:00 with event noon until 2 pm. Volunteers and donations are being coordinated by Jen Young.
Continue to plan for Trunk or Treat on 17 October from 5 until 7 pm. This has been a big event on the beach so appreciate as many as can volunteer to help, donations, plan for food and drinks and activities. Come join the fun with candy for trick or treat, wear a costume, decorate your golf cart or car.

Breakfast with Santa planning is still pending.

Sandy Churchill has been working on our fbpoa.com site. We would like it to become our go to site for information and communication. Member and guest communication feature is still pending some work.

Our organization struggles with wide community involvement for our programs and problem solving though participation at events is very good. Planning and ex*****on of the events falls to same few members. Suggestions and ideas will be appreciated for increasing community involvement in the improvement of our community, identification and solving of issues present in the community and planning, donations and volunteers for events. Production of a newsletter for the community was discussed. A junior FBPOA is another idea that might increase youth involvement in the community issues and events. This could include school credit for volunteer community activity.

Millersport Community Center food pantry is behind the Millersport Methodist church. It is open to everyone in Walnut Township without proof of income requirement. Proof of residence will be requested on first visit. The summer lunch program occurs on Mondays from 4:30 until 5:30 with a hot meal on Monday and a take home food bag for lunches the remainder of the week. Volunteers provide the hot meals with the next one on July 6 provided by Rock House Realtor. Any person, organization or person may sponsor a hot meal with the take home food bags. Please sponsor or donate for the kids in our community.

Vice president adjourned the meeting a 8:30 pm. Next meeting is 28 July at 7:00 pm at the tornado shelter on corner of Beaver and Cedar, 5056 Beaver Rd NE.
