❤️ Deva and Claire have officially been adopted! They have had quite the journey, but they are officially in their forever home. They even gained a dog sibling! ❤️

Thank you to each of you who shared, prayed, and tried to help. We appreciate you all. A special thank you to Kira Kautz for all that you did to facilitate this and love them enough to give them this chance.

Alright Facebook friends near and far, we need your help. These sweet girls were returned to the clinic in North Platte after a week. They are safe, but don't deserve to be in kennels. They need a home. A forever home. A home with compassion for their circumstances, patience for their grieving, and an abundance of love. They lost their world. They lost their constant companionship. They lost their purpose of protecting and loving their human.

Please, please help them. Share this post. Consider giving them the compassion and love they need.

NEW HOME NEEDED, ASAP.
These two girls have known a life full of deep love, comfort and devotion.

Their owner, who was a quadriplegic, cherished them completely. They weren’t just pets. They were constant companions, family and a source of comfort. They were spoiled in the best way possible and surrounded by love every single day.

Tragically, their owner has passed away.

Now, everything they’ve ever known is gone.

They were at risk of being taken to a shelter, but we stepped in because this is not how their story should continue. They are grieving. They are confused. And they urgently need a home where they can feel safe again.

Time matters for these girls.

They are used to a home, not a kennel. Used to love, not loss. We need to find them placement as soon as possible so they don’t have to experience the stress of a shelter environment.

Meet Claire 🐾
A gentle, approximately 30 pound Cocker Spaniel and Springer mix, around 14 years old. Claire is in her golden years but she is still in really good health with great mobility and overall condition. She enjoys a calm, quiet life, relaxing and simply being near her person. She would do best in a peaceful home without a lot of noise or small children. She is incredibly sweet and just wants to feel safe and loved again.

Meet Deva 🐾
A 95 pound Labrador mix, 7-8 years old has a joyful spirit and plenty of energy. Deva loves to play and stay active, even while navigating this loss. She will thrive with someone who can give her attention, activity and love. She is not good with small dogs.

Both girls have been around children and have up to date veterinary care and records.

These girls have lost everything.
They do not understand why their person is gone.
What they need right now is someone to step up and give them stability, comfort and love again.

Please do not wait.

WONDERFUL UPDATE!

We had previously posted about Christina Ulmer's dogs needing a home. On Sunday, March 22, Kira Kautz and I drove and picked them up from Christina's house. Kira then took them to North Platte with her. Her goal was to make sure they remained together. With only one night in the big kennel, they found their home the next day. ❤️

They are TOGETHER, adjusting well, and are being smothered in love in their new home. This could not have been any better of an outcome. Praise God for having His hand on this the whole time.

UPDATE: I spoke woth Christina's mom and the dogs are NOT being fostered. That was misinformation from the original post. THEY ARE HEADED TO A SHELTER VERY SOON. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP THESE DOGGIES. They've lost their owner, they don't need to lose each other.

Facebook friends, we need your help!! Our friend, Christina Ulmer, who passed away on March 4, left her two sweet dogs behind. They need a home...together. They are very well behaved dogs looking to live out their senior years in a loving home.

Claire is an approximately 30-lb Cocker Spaniel/Springer mix, about 14 years old. She enjoys relaxing most of the day and would do best in a quieter home without a lot of noise or small children, although she is still very friendly.

Deva is an approximately 65-lb Labrador mix with lots of energy who loves to play and be active.

Both dogs are very well loved and well cared for. They have up-to-date veterinary records and care plans through Peak to Peak Animal Hospital and Petco. They are currently being fostered while we search for the right forever home.
