Dear Caln Softball and Baseball Families,
At Caln, we often talk about being more than just a league. We are a community that cheers for one another, grows together, and lifts each other up both on and off the field. Today, one of our own families is grieving the heartbreaking loss of a beloved wife, mother, friend, and member of our Caln family.
As many of you know, Susan Mousley courageously battled bile duct cancer. Susan was the loving mother of Ryan, Keira, and Shane Mousley, who have all been part of Caln Softball and Baseball. Her husband, Steve, was a devoted husband and father who cared for Susan throughout her illness while also giving his time to coach Caln Junior, Senior, and Junior Legion Baseball teams.
With great sadness, we share that Susan passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
The Mousley family is now facing an incredibly difficult time as they grieve the loss of Susan and navigate the emotional and financial challenges that come with such a tremendous loss. We want Steve, Ryan, Keira, and Shane to feel the full love and support of their Caln Softball and Baseball family.
As a Caln Little League family, we are continuing our fundraising effort to help the Mousleys with medical expenses, meals, household bills, and other everyday needs. Our hope is to ease some of the financial burden and allow the family to focus on one another and on remembering Susan. There will be a donation box placed at the Caln Little Leauge Snack Bar for the duration of the fall season to assist the Mousley family.
