📢 Fall Validation Dates!!

🐄🐑 October Major Show Validations are coming up! 🐐

If you have a livestock project that needs to be validated for the Spring Major Shows, mark your calendar! Validation will take place at the YEB in Cameron.

📅 October 20 | Heifer Validation
🕟 4:30–6:30 PM

📅 October 22 | Sheep & Goat Validation
🕟 4:30–6:30 PM

This validation is for:
• Heifers that have not been previously validated
• Sheep and goats that were not validated in June and are intended to show at the Spring Major Shows

Already validated in June? You do NOT need to revalidate unless your project has changed breed or ownership.

🏷️ Need a tag? If you haven't ordered one yet, please let the Extension Office know! We can still order tags, but the price has increased to $35 per tag.

🚨 ROCKDALE FAIR ELIGIBILITY FORMS ARE DUE SEPTEMBER 21! 🚨

Rockdale Fair is just around the corner, and there are two important steps every 4-H member must complete in order to show!

1️⃣ COMPLETE YOUR 4-H ENROLLMENT

This year, EVERYONE must renew their enrollment in the NEW 4-H enrollment system!
That includes:
• Cloverbuds
• Juniors
• Intermediates
• Seniors
👉 Enrollment must be COMPLETED before an eligibility form can be accepted!

2️⃣ COMPLETE YOUR ROCKDALE FAIR ELIGIBILITY FORM

YOU MUST BE AN ENROLLED 4-H MEMBER TO COMPLETE AN ELIGIBILITY FORM.

Important: Photos or pictures of the form are no longer accepted. Please download the PDF, fill it out, and submit the completed form to the Milam County Extension Office.

⚠️ PLEASE DON'T MISS THIS STEP!

The Rockdale Fair show board sends the Extension Office a list of all 4-H entries. We must verify that BOTH of the following have been completed:

☑️ Your 4-H enrollment is completed in the NEW system
☑️ Your eligibility form has been completed and accepted by the Extension Office

If these items are not both checked off, you will not be eligible to show, and the show board will pull your entry.

Please don't wait until the last minute! Complete your NEW 4-H enrollment and turn in your eligibility form to the Extension Office by September 21.

If you're showing at Rockdale Fair, make sure you're enrolled and your eligibility form is turned in! 🐓🐖🐄

This year, we have a brand-new 4-H enrollment system, and we’re excited to get everyone enrolled and ready for another year of 4-H adventures!
