What is Hanna’s Act? Hanna’s Act or House Bill 21 was sponsored by Rep. Rae Peppers and has a specialist from the Montana Department of Justice help law enforcement and families in the search for missing persons.

That person oversees entries into the database of the national crime information center of the U.S. Department of Justice and other databases to ensure records of missing persons are accurate, complete and are made in a timely fashion. The bill passed in April of 2019 in an effort to ensure stories like Hanna’s are lessened.
