Please click on the link below, take 5 minutes to preview next weeks' schedules. When we worked hard to select good leaders, this is what success looked like. Now we have to show up, speak up and stay connected. Government cannot operate well if the people that make up the community are not engaged in the process. We need at least 100 people at the 37179 Community Center on Monday.

Let's get this show on the road.

The 2014 election was a moratorium for smart growth in 37179. Voters, in overwhelming numbers, reelected a mayor who ran on a premise that we must maintain our resolve to resist market pressure to turn this town into another retail wasteland. But the election was just the start. We must now take this opportunity to plan what this beautiful island will look like.

Thompson’s Station traces its origins to the 18th century and its role in Middle Tennessee's economy to the great railroad era of the 1800s. Now comes projected population and job growth likely to make the region among the most dynamic in the nation over the next quarter-century. Through Next Stop: Thompson's Station, we’ll assure the growth we capture is in character with who we are and what we value.

Click on this link and see what town leaders are doing to honor their 2014 campaign promise. Smart planning sets us apart from others. This exercise enables all of us to self-determine the future of 37179. Once in a town's lifetime, it gets this chance. You must be a part of this. We start on March 9.

Gotta love Willis Gilliam, enlightening a recent gathering of Spring Hill planners and residents. "I have a farm that, for ya’ll’s convenience, your town is talking about taking, taking my farm,” Gilliam said. “For your convenience, to alleviate your traffic flow when you knew what you were getting into when you moved down here. You know what it’s called, ‘cow syndrome.’

Strong opinions on both sides of the fence were at the center of a public hearing at Spring Hill Public Library last week concerning the city’s proposed major thoroughfare plan. The proposed plan,...

When will people say, "enough already?" It may be too late for Sping Hill with these planners powerless to stop the dirt movers. In 37179, time remains for those who care enough to shape what our future looks like. 2015 is the year for all of us to understand how 37179 local government works and to make certain 37179 doesn't become another place that development ruined.

We said this was a journey that started with the right leaders. We got them and they're are already working. Now it's time for the rest of us to get to work. Happy Friday!! More to come. This is our year.

The Spring Hill Planning Commission on Monday night approved a quartet of resolutions that may allow developers to build an active adult mixed use community in the vicinity of several historically significant sites.
