Patrol Base Abbate has officially concluded its first regional Return to Base (RTB) program of the 2026 season, held in the Southeast region in Charleston, South Carolina.

16 veterans came together at the incredible Retreat at Church Creek to rediscover community, connection, and purpose.

This regional RTB was fully sponsored by our corporate partner, Vector. Their commitment to our mission is more than support, it’s a force multiplier. Because of Vector, our community is growing and thriving in ways we couldn’t have imagined, allowing us to reach more veterans with life-changing programming. We’re also deeply grateful to the selfless team at Retreat at Church Creek for creating a space where our veterans could truly in their own region.

While we are facilitating 12 RTB programs either in the solitude of Northwest Montana, in the canyons of Utah, or the tranquility of Roatan, we know not every veteran can make that journey.

By bringing these experiences closer to home, we remove barriers to participation and open the door for more veterans to reconnect, not just during the program, but long after. These regional experiences build lasting local communities rooted in trust, support, and shared purpose.
