The Walk Youth Group & 1NeedNow, Inc. "The Walk" Mission Mission Statement: To display Christ through the fulfillment of needs however they present themselves. He also lives in every believer.

"This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God." 2 Corinthians 9:12

"The Walk Youth Group" Faith Statement (1NeedNow, Inc.) About the Scriptures: We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believ

e the Bible is without error. About God: We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world. The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily. About Humanity: We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him, but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts. About Salvation: We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Eternity: Man’s soul was created to exist forever. His soul will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation. When you die, you will either spend eternity in Heaven or Hell. Eternal separation from God happens in Hell. Eternal union with God occurs in Heaven. About the Christian Life: We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. About the Church: We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.

A students journal entry from D-Now Weekend: He brought me here to know that Jesus is the true vine and that all the other things I look for and get comfort from are false. I can look like a Christian on the outside, go to youth every Wednesday and Sunday, worship the Lord, but still not really be with Him on the inside.

There are things I need to cut off and stop feeding—relationships, habits, people. I need to turn the volume down on things I think are important but really aren’t. My phone, Snapchat, guys, being popular—none of that matters in heaven, so why does it matter so much here?

He knows everything about us—every flaw, everything we’ve never told anyone—and He still loves us fully. I need to get off the fence and obey Him. I need to forgive people and not have anger toward them for what they did to me. I need to apologize for things I’ve done in my life.

During outreach, we met these girls. They were so cute, dancing and singing. They jumped rope with us. They kept asking when we were coming back.

Student Outreach Story

My group and I were walking into a department store in Thomasville when we noticed someone sitting in a car. I was nervous to go up to them because they looked sketchy at first.

We decided to go talk to them anyway. They shared that they were sleeping in their car and struggling with a family situation. We were able to pray for them and their family. It was really special to pray together, and I hope their family is restored.

This is what discipleship looked like when Jesus walked with His disciples.

Jesus didn’t just teach from a distance—He walked alongside real people, sent His disciples into real situations, and showed them how to love others step by step. He told them, “Follow Me,” and then walked with them as they learned.

This weekend, students did the same thing. They didn’t have all the answers. They felt nervous. But they stepped forward anyway, stayed connected to Jesus, and let Him lead the moment. That’s what it looks like to follow Jesus today.

D-Now Weekend 2026 - Abide

This weekend, we witnessed God move in powerful and personal ways. We are grateful to share that two students accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, reminding us why we gather, teach, and go.

On Saturday, 17 drivers took students across our city—into neighborhoods, hotels, laundromats, shopping centers, and grocery stores—meeting people where they were and sharing the love of Jesus through prayer, conversation, and presence. Outreach is one of our favorite parts of D-Now Weekend because it allows students to live out what Jesus commanded: to go and make disciples. This is how we become His hands and feet.

Students prayed with families, encouraged strangers, listened to stories, and shared hope. Some welcomed prayer right away. Others asked hard questions. Some just needed someone to stop and care. Every conversation mattered.

Throughout the weekend, we studied John 15:1–17, learning what it means to abide in the True Vine. We talked about false vines, pruning, obedience, and joy—and how real fruit flows from staying connected to Jesus. Saturday was not separate from the lesson; it was the overflow of it. When students abide in Christ, love goes public and fruit begins to grow.

We are thankful for every student, leader, and volunteer who served, prayed, and showed up. This weekend was not about an event—it was about following Jesus together.

We’re incredibly thankful for the students who came out and helped us get ready for D-Now Weekend. In just a few hours, they put mattress covers on every bed, organized outreach supplies, cleaned and reorganized both storage rooms, moved rugs and mattresses so everyone would be off the floor, restocked the kitchen, and tackled a long list of other projects.

Many of them stayed 2–4 hours and jumped in wherever help was needed. We truly couldn’t have done this without them.

We’re blessed to have students who are always willing to serve, help, and step up when needed. Since we don’t have paid staff or salaries, we serve alongside our students—and watching their work ethic, humility, and willingness to help is a true blessing. It speaks volumes about their character and hearts.

So grateful for this group and the joy of serving together.

As we come to the end of this year, we are deeply thankful for how God has continued to move through The Walk Youth Group. What began over 21 years ago has grown into a place where students are learning to follow Jesus in real life.

This semester alone, 271 individual students attended youth events, which has been a huge blessing. At the heart of what we do is discipleship. Our high school students spent this semester studying the Book of Mark, looking closely at how Jesus taught His disciples, walked with them, and then sent them out. We believe discipleship has three parts—learning, growing, and going—and all three matter.

Through weekly Bible studies, monthly local missions, and four mission trips to major cities across the United States, students are given opportunities to put Scripture into action. These experiences stretch them, grow their faith, and help them learn how to share the hope of Jesus beyond church walls in real, everyday situations.

As we close out the year, we’re grateful for everyone who has prayed for, supported, and partnered with this ministry. Your generosity helps make discipleship, outreach, and mission opportunities possible for the next generation.

If you’d like to give toward our end-of-year support, you can do so at oneneednow.com or via Venmo . Gifts may also be mailed to 1NeedNow, 229 Clark Road, Thomasville, GA 31757.

Thank you for being part of what God is doing through The Walk Youth Group. We are truly grateful.

As we wrap up this year, we just want to pause and say thank you.

This year has been filled with incredible joy—joy in seeing students grow, joy in community, joy in watching God move in big and small ways. From weekly gatherings to small groups, from conversations to moments of prayer, we’ve been reminded again and again why we do what we do.

There’s something special about watching students take steps in their faith, build real friendships, and experience the love of Jesus together. These moments are a gift, and we don’t take them lightly.

We’re deeply thankful for every student, leader, family, volunteer, and supporter who has been part of this year. You’ve helped make this ministry what it is, and we’re grateful for each of you.

As we look ahead, we do so with full hearts and excitement for what God has in store next.

Thank you for an incredible year.

Celebrating the True Joy of Christmas

This week, we gathered for our White Elephant Gift Christmas Party—a night full of fun, laughter, and connection. For many students, this will be one of the moments they remember most about this Christmas season.

Before the gift exchange, we intentionally broke into small groups and opened the Bible together, walking through Luke 2. Our high school students helped lead middle school students, because we believe real ministry and real growth happen best in small groups.

Some groups clicked easily, and others were more challenging—but that’s real ministry. When we look at Jesus’ life, it was rarely easy. He was surrounded by crowds, interruptions, and constant needs. Even in those moments, purpose and impact were happening—and we’re reminded the same is true today.

We’re incredibly thankful for our leaders and students who served, helped clean, and pointed everyone back to the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of Jesus. Nights like this remind us why we do what we do.
