Thomasville Beautification Committee The City Beautification Committee meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at 8:30 a.m. in the Board Room of City Hall, 10 Salem St. unless otherwise notified.

The City Beautification Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers appointed by the Thomasville City Council to oversee all beautification projects for our town and create an awareness of the beautification of our town. The idea is that through the committee's efforts and through awareness, Thomasville benefits in terms of Economic Development and recruitment, as well as a sense of pride in a cl

ean and beautiful community. Projects this committee is responsible for include the planting of the flower beds at the Welcome signs, the Big Chair, the fountain downtown, the mini-park and the bed at the intersection of Julian Avenue and Randolph St. If you need to contact City Beautification with concerns, questions or comments, please call 336-475-4219, or you may email at [email protected].

Many thanks to Beau and his mom, Eric Kuppel from Keep Davidson County Beautiful and committee members Crystal and Denise for helping out at this morning’s litter sweep. We collected several bags of trash, along with various other items: a broken pack and play, suitcases, sleeping bags, lumber, etc.
Our next litter sweep will be Saturday, September 12th, weather permitting. We will then be two weeks away from Everybody’s Night and Everybody’s Day, Thomasville’s music event and street festival. Extra volunteers would be greatly appreciated to get our city and outlying areas ready for our visitors.
