If YOU are in NEED...
You can apply to CCM for crisis assistance to help you and your family “get back on your feet." Before seeking assistance at CCM please visit the Department of Social Services (DSS). They will direct you to the appropriate assistance agencies. You can help expedite the registration by bringing your identification card/driver license and a current bill/piece of mail with your
name/address on it, documents such as current utility bills, pay slips, Medicaid cards, receipts of other bills paid within the previous month(s), termination or eviction notices, and other proofs of need. If you have already been to other agencies, please bring written referrals/vouchers from said agencies when you come to CCM. Become a volunteer: Volunteers do a myriad of things at Cooperative Community Ministry. They stock shelves, deliver food to the homebound (quarterly), pick up food from the Second Harvest Food Bank, pack bags/boxes of food, and provide much needed assistance to our busy days! Make donations: Financial donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated. It takes a lot to keep a non-profit agency going and we do our best to stretch our funds as far as they will go. Actual food items and personal care items are also accepted to be given out to our clients. NOTE: WE CANNOT ACCEPT MEDICAL SUPPLIES!!! Get your church/group involved: Our food pantry has a rotating calendar of "Food of the Month" items, which several groups participate in. Certain foods are donated by month, which helps provide our pantry with needed items. Other ways to help include recruiting volunteers, providing meals, and/or financial support. Encourage Scout troops, school classes, civic clubs, and community groups to give food, funds, and/or services. Spread the word that CCM is here to help people in crisis in the spirit of compassion.
