News from the Thomasville Public Library:

As part of our summer reading celebration, Dr. Magical Balloons will be at TES Gym this Thursday, June 14 at 2 pm. Tell everyone! No ticket needed, this is a free community event. Last week over 250 attended our Montgomery Zoo program.

Also, we have almost 200 children and teens reading for prizes at Thomasville Public Library! It's not too late to sign your child up. We're giving away several reading prizes every day. :)

There are lots of business that are having early summer sales right now! I've been going around town, and I've seen some great deals! So shop around Thomasville today, and find something great! Also, there will be a free 5K Run/Walk tonight at 5:30. People are meeting at the Civic Center! Bring family, friends, and kids to join in on the fun of National Running Day!

Dear Chamber Members,

Sylvia Browder, Project Director of the Women’s Business Center Bizmobile Project will be in Thomasville at the Thomasville Alabama Chamber of Commerce Board Room on Thursday, May 24th from 10-11am. Mrs. Browder will be giving a class on the “Five Best Client Service Techniques”. I would like to encourage anyone who is interested in this course, to come on this Thursday. Mrs. Browder will also be available for one-on-one counseling after the class for those who would like to ask her specific questions about good business practices or how to start or further your business. I have attached a description of the course below:

Went to see OKLAHOMA! last night! It was a great performance! If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, go by the Civic Center today and make sure to reserve your seats for tonight, Saturday night, or Monday night! All shows are at 7:00 and the cost is $10. Tickets will also be sold right before each show. These students have been working hard, and they have unbelievable talent! Hope to see you there!

Preston Brooks rescued a female black lab today in Thomasville, AL. She was in highway 43 between Walgreens and First United Security Bank. She had a Leather collar on, so I'm guessing her owners live behind walgreens in that area! She was either pregnant or just had puppies. If you know whose dog this is or if this is your dog please contact ken spinks or the thomasville police dept!!!!!
