Harvested some heirloom tomatoes this evening. The garden is on the struggle bus and we are shifting in to succession planting mode. Laid some bone meal and fish fertilizer into the watermelon grow bags.

This torrential rain has been a challenge. Let me know if there are any senior citizens out there who would like some tomatoes. Inbox me.

My favorite word at my day job is Pivot. You never know what can and will happen that will cause you to change your plans and this garden season is no exception however we carry on.

Had the pleasure of dropping off some Cucumbers and Peppers at the Thomasville Housing Authority while I was on my lunch break today. The timing was perfect as they are hosting summer activities for the youth.

Just left the community garden. Came early to try to beat some of this heat. Going to get some breakfast.

The plants were very grateful for a drink of water. The fence cucumbers because they were no longer viable and I believe I will replace them with some green beans or some other crop. Gardening is not for the weak and you have to realize when a plant has done its job and pull it.

Any suggestions for a fast growing crop?

Store your cucumbers unwashed in a ziplock bag in your veggie bin in the fridge.

Today we signed up 13 new Garden Friends and did some Veggie Evangelism. Of course I forgot to take pictures of our harvest 🙄
