An Open Door Adoption Agency An Open Door Adoption Agency, Inc.--Providing adoption planning for women with unexpected pregnancies

An Open Door Adoption Agency is a Christian, not-for-profit adoption agency, founded in 1986 to provide a positive alternative for unplanned pregnancy. The agency has since expanded its role to include that of finding Christian adoptive parents for foreign orphan children. Thousands of infants, older children & sibling groups are eagerly waiting for parents of their own. An Open Door Adoption Agen

cy is a licensed adoption agency in the State of Georgia. We were initially licensed to place children for adoption through the Georgia Department of Human Services in July 1987. For the past thirty-four years, the Georgia Department of Human Services has conducted annual re-licensure audits. Our most recent re-licensure audit was performed on October 7, 2021, and our license was renewed once again. We have been Hague accredited which is required for international adoptions since 2008. The accreditation process to remain Hague accredited is very stringent and agencies must demonstrate compliance with multiple standards over a period of many years in order to retain this designation. We are also an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Our agency specializes in domestic and international adoptions. To date, 1,630 domestic children have been placed through our agency, including special needs children, and we have placed over 1,000 international children with forever families. In addition, An Open Door Adoption Agency is a proud member of the following organizations:

- Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO)
- National Council for Adoption (NCFA)
- Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA)
- Council on Accreditation (COA)

Maybe adoption is part of your story. Maybe God is gently placing it on your heart to consider.

Whatever brought you here, don’t underestimate the difference a safe, loving, and supportive family can make in the life of a child. ❤️

Sometimes, one family’s willingness to say “yes” can help shape a child’s story in ways they may never fully know.

This sweet little girl is full of happiness and curiosity! She warms up easily to new people, loves cuddles, and enjoys exploring the world around her. She’s always asking questions and loves music, books, and hands-on activities like stacking blocks and working with clay.

While she sometimes struggles with emotional regulation and staying focused, she’s making progress every day. She started preschool in September 2024 and is learning new skills, including riding a scooter!
She enjoys playing outside, singing, and discovering new things.

Diagnosed with Autism and Asperger syndrome, she continues to grow in independence—dressing herself and eating on her own while still needing some support with her physiological needs. She would thrive in a loving, patient family ready to embrace her joy, curiosity, and unique journey.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” 1 John 3:1

This verse focuses on the gift of being called God’s children. John emphasizes that our relationship with God is not based on what we have earned, but on the overwhelming love He chooses to give.

For adoptive families, this verse is meaningful because it highlights the heart of adoption: love that chooses, welcomes, and gives identity. A child is not simply placed in a home—they are embraced as family. In the same way, Scripture describes God’s love as bringing people into His family and giving them a new identity as His children.

⭐️ 𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 ⭐️
Open Door Adoption is currently seeking a family for a 3-year-old girl in need of a loving, committed home.

She has significant medical needs, including spina bifida and hydrocephalus (treated with a shunt), as well as epilepsy that is managed with medication. She also has cerebral palsy, paralysis affecting her lower body, and orthopedic conditions involving her hip and foot. Additional diagnoses include cortical blindness, feeding challenges requiring support, and global developmental delays.

She requires full-time care and assistance with all daily needs. While her medical needs are complex, she responds to gentle, consistent interaction—finding comfort in soothing voices, songs, and touch, and occasionally expressing herself through small smiles and soft sounds.

She deserves a family who will provide stability, compassion, and lifelong care.
If you feel called to learn more about this child, please contact Open Door Adoption for additional information.

💜 Waiting Child Spotlight 💜
Every child has a unique personality, gifts to share, and milestones worth celebrating.
This sweet 13-year-old girl is looking for a family who will love her, encourage her, and celebrate every step of her journey. She has moderate developmental delays and is nonverbal, but she communicates in meaningful ways by pointing, gesturing, and using whispered words. Recently, she has even begun trying to say her own name—a beautiful milestone that speaks to her determination.
She enjoys simple joys like swinging, blowing bubbles, dancing, and spending time exploring the world around her. She has learned many daily living skills, including dressing herself, putting on her shoes, and helping set and clear the table.
She would thrive in a patient, loving family that can provide the support, therapies, and encouragement she needs to continue growing and reaching her full potential.
Could your family be the one to help write the next chapter of her story?

“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.” Isaiah 1:17

Isaiah reminds God's people that true faith is demonstrated by how they treat those who are most vulnerable. The call to "take up the cause of the fatherless" is an invitation to advocate for and care for children who have no one to protect them.

While the verse doesn't specifically mention adoption, it has long been understood as a call to ensure that vulnerable children are loved, defended, and given opportunities to flourish. Adoption is one way many families live out this command by providing a child with a permanent home, loving relationships, and a sense of belonging.
