The Thomaston-Upson Civic Center will be closed June 19–21, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.

The Thomaston-Upson Recreation Department is seeking craft and boutique vendors for the Training Legends All-Star State Championship coming to Thomaston on June 27-28, 2026.

For just $75, you’ll receive vendor space for both tournament days and the opportunity to showcase your business to hundreds of players, families, and spectators from across Georgia.

🍪🧁 SWEET BEGINNINGS IS HERE!

Calling all boys and girls ages 5-14!

Join us as we kick off our new Sweet Treat Club with an afternoon full of mixing, decorating, creating, and of course... tasting some delicious treats!

Whether your child loves helping in the kitchen or enjoys sweets, this hands-on event is designed to be fun, creative, and beginner-friendly. No experience needed, just come ready to have fun and make something sweet!

A big thank you to Terry Hollis, Tracy Caldwell, and Eric Banks for spending their evening with our kids and introducing them to the game of co****le!

The first session was a success, and the kids had a great time learning, competing, and making new friends. We’re missing a few participants in these photos, but they’ll be back next Tuesday for Round 2!

We appreciate everyone who helps create opportunities for our youth. See y’all next week!

Jr. Knights News is back!

This week we’re joined by the Upson County Elections Office, the City of Thomaston, and Thomaston-Upson Recreation Athletics as they share important updates and information with our community.

We’ll also highlight the upcoming Training Legends All-Stars Warm Up Series, Fall Sports Registration, volunteer coaching opportunities, and our batting cage facility.
