Community Update: Downed Traffic Sign at Mailbox Entrance

We wanted to inform you about the traffic sign near the mailbox entrance that was knocked over during the recent snowstorm. It’s likely that a city snowplow caused the damage, and CM Landscape, our snow removal company, was quick to notify us and even took photos of the incident.

The good news is that CM Landscape has promised to replace the sign, covering the costs up to a certain dollar amount. If the replacement costs exceed that amount, we’ll work with the city to reimburse any additional expenses.

While we are addressing this issue, we want to emphasize that our top priority remains the roofs, given the ongoing winter conditions. The traffic sign replacement is being managed alongside these efforts to ensure the safety and functionality of our community.

The interim board’s immediate priorities include hiring a new property management company and addressing urgent roof repairs before winter, along with other pressing community concerns.

The public announcement of board members emphasizes the commitment to transparency, ensuring the community knows who has been selected to serve its needs.

Green Mountain Property Manager Resigns After Failed $1.2M Loan

In a surprising turn of events, Peter Nastasi, the property manager of Green Mountain Condominiums, has resigned following the failure to secure a $1.2 million loan meant for roof repairs. Nearly two months after a controversial forced "yes" vote on the loan, no repairs have begun, and the loan was ultimately declined for undisclosed reasons.

Attempts to shift blame onto a community petition were quickly dismissed, as the residents' lawyer questioned its validity, and BOM refused to recognize it. In response, the board initiated a new petition, but it has since been rendered unnecessary after most of the board members stepped down. The failure of the loan has raised suspicions, with many speculating that issues with the financial records were the likely cause.

What happens next? 
Amado will hand-pick an interim board until annual elections are held. If, and only if a quorum (51% of unit owners) attend the meeting, then an election will take place filling all vacancies. If a quorum does not attend, the existing board will remain as the official board.
