I've been meaning to do this for a while now but I just wanted to update everyone on the wonderful stay here in Rochester,MN.
Originally, Eric (caretaker) and I came to see what we thought was a follow up after breaking my right tibia. I was seeing a doctor that it actually taken hardware out of a different break quite some time ago. After visiting with him on July 12, 2025 they have decided for me to come back in 2 1/2 weeks. At that point we followed the direction. At that point after taking a full length splint off they turn put a Full leg cast on. Then told us to follow up in three weeks.
I knew in that three week time that the cast was very heavy and was above my knee and knew that there would be some damage to the skin area of that point. What I saw when they cut it off was completely different. I truly don't think that the doctor believed what he saw either.
There was a good size sore on my kneecap, the top of my foot, and the back of my heel. Through this time nobody had measured the sores or taking pictures of the skin but I did… I now have been hospitalized for one week while they did a MIST therapy, daily. I was discharged from the hospital one week from this last Friday. Following that, I have met with the wound clinicians three times a week and to have it on the schedule till the end of August. Well in the hospital I had a few different teams that were following me as part of the now and future events that might be needed of the sores. Plastic surgery being one of them and nutrition only because there are better ways to absorb vitamins that help you heal quicker. Thank goodness that my mother, Jamie Clark, had already introduced some of these items into my diet at home.
Now I will add some pictures of the events we have been through in this short trip that turns long…🧑⚕️
