Friends of the E.D. White Historic Site is excited to share that we received a 2025 Emergency Readiness Grant from the State of Louisiana and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities to support important improvements to the Visitor Center and storage facility!
With this funding, storm shutters were installed at the Visitor Center, and repairs and upgrades were made to our storage building. This helps protect historic materials, equipment, and visitor spaces from severe Louisiana weather.
βThis grant is an important investment in the future of the E.D. White Historic Site,β said Pamela T. Folse, President of the Friends of the E.D. White Historic Site. βWe are grateful to the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities for helping ensure this historic place remains protected and accessible for generations to come.β
Check out the before, during, and after photos made possible by all involved, from the funding to the physical repairs of our site. Thank you for helping us preserve Louisiana history!
