Let’s talk about it…

Rodeo Houston recently made headlines for introducing a spectator dress code—basically saying:

👉 This is a rodeo. A family-friendly, western event. Save the club outfits for a night out.

And whether you agree or not… it brings up a bigger conversation.

Because here’s the truth with facts —
In the rodeo world, contestants are required to be in full western attire (long sleeve shirt, jeans, boots, hat), and at many rodeos—especially PRCA sanctioned—you can actually be fined for not being dressed properly or on time.

Why?
Because rodeo isn’t just entertainment… it’s built on western heritage, respect, and professionalism.

Rodeo dates back to the working cowboy—skills used on ranches that turned into competition. It was never about fashion trends… it was about function, tradition, and pride in the lifestyle.

So when did we start shifting toward “who can show the most skin” at western events, especially rodeos?

There’s nothing wrong with looking cute… you can wear trendy but classy outfits and still make a fashion statement! 🤠

We can leave the lingerie style outfits at home..

You can have style AND still represent the western way of life with class.
