Learning to walk again is something most people never imagine having to do.
After a stroke, surgery, fall, injury, neurological condition, or serious illness, even standing safely can feel impossible for some patients. The fear of falling, weakness, pain, and loss of confidence can make everyday movement incredibly difficult.
Thanks to the generous support of the Brown Family Foundation, our patients at our Powell clinic now have access to upgraded parallel bars that provide a safe, supportive environment for balance training, walking practice, strengthening, and rebuilding independence.
These bars help patients:
Practice walking safely after surgery or injury
Improve balance and coordination
Build confidence after falls
Work on standing tolerance and posture
Recover strength after hospitalization or illness
Regain mobility following a stroke or neurological condition
For many patients, the parallel bars are where major milestones happen, standing independently for the first time, taking those first few steps again, or gaining enough confidence to move safely at home.
As a nonprofit organization serving rural Wyoming communities, support from the Brown Family Foundation helps us continue providing life changing rehabilitation close to home. Thank you for helping make recovery possible for so many patients.
