Learning to walk again is something most people never imagine having to do.

After a stroke, surgery, fall, injury, neurological condition, or serious illness, even standing safely can feel impossible for some patients. The fear of falling, weakness, pain, and loss of confidence can make everyday movement incredibly difficult.

Thanks to the generous support of the Brown Family Foundation, our patients at our Powell clinic now have access to upgraded parallel bars that provide a safe, supportive environment for balance training, walking practice, strengthening, and rebuilding independence.

These bars help patients:

Practice walking safely after surgery or injury
Improve balance and coordination
Build confidence after falls
Work on standing tolerance and posture
Recover strength after hospitalization or illness
Regain mobility following a stroke or neurological condition

For many patients, the parallel bars are where major milestones happen, standing independently for the first time, taking those first few steps again, or gaining enough confidence to move safely at home.

As a nonprofit organization serving rural Wyoming communities, support from the Brown Family Foundation helps us continue providing life changing rehabilitation close to home. Thank you for helping make recovery possible for so many patients.

“I’m too old for therapy to help.”

We hear this all the time.

But here’s the truth…
Aging is normal.
Losing independence doesn’t have to be.

Therapy can help improve:
✨ Balance
✨ Strength
✨ Mobility
✨ Endurance
✨ Fall prevention
✨ Confidence with movement

It’s not about becoming 20 again.
It’s about continuing to do the things you love for as long as possible.

Because feeling stronger, moving better, and staying independent matters at every age.

Imagine not being able to lift your arm high enough to wash your hair… struggling to carry groceries into the house… or becoming exhausted just trying to get through everyday tasks after surgery, illness, or injury.

These are challenges many of our patients face every day.

Thanks to funding from the Brown Family Foundation, we were able to add two new upper body exercisers that helps patients improve arm strength, endurance, circulation, posture, and overall function during rehabilitation.

This equipment can help:

A stroke survivor work on coordination and endurance
A post-surgical patient rebuild strength safely
Someone with chronic pain improve mobility and tolerance for activity
An older adult maintain independence longer
A patient recovering from illness regain stamina for everyday life

At Gottsche, therapy is about more than exercise , it’s about helping people get back to living their lives.

As a nonprofit organization, grants and donations help make advanced rehabilitation equipment accessible to the communities we serve. Thank you to the Brown Family Foundation for helping make these outcomes possible.
