Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, the strength of our communities, and the people who make the United States of America, especially Wyoming such a special place to call home.

From all of us at the William H. & Carrie Gottsche Foundation, we wish you and your family a safe, happy, and memorable Independence Day!

Nothing brings people together like good food and great company!

Our Worland clinic enjoyed a pre Fourth of July potluck with staff and patients, celebrating the friendships that make our Gottsche family so special.

We're grateful for moments like these that remind us what community is all about. 🇺🇸

Every act of generosity creates opportunities to help our neighbors live healthier lives.

We're incredibly thankful to The Bargain Box Furniture and Clothing Stores, an Outreach of Christ Church Cody, for their generous support of the William H. & Carrie Gottsche Foundation.

Because of donations like theirs, we've been able to provide financial assistance to patients and transportation for more than 300 therapy sessions, helping ensure that financial or transportation challenges don't stand in the way of receiving care.

As WyoGives approaches, we're reminded that every gift makes an impact. Together, we're able to continue providing compassionate care and improving the health and well-being of our communities.

Thank you, The Bargain Box Furniture and Clothing Stores and Christ Church Cody, for helping make that possible.

Did You Know?

Long before the William H. & Carrie Gottsche Foundation was established, the Gottsche family had another fascinating connection to Wyoming history.

Many historians believe that Robert LeRoy Parker, better known as Butch Cassidy worked in William H. Gottsche's butcher shop in Rock Springs. It's widely believed that his time there is what earned him the nickname "Butcher Cassidy," later shortened to "Butch Cassidy."

Just one more fascinating chapter in the rich history of the Gottsche family and the legacy they left in Wyoming.

Every legacy has a beginning.

This is Marguerite Gottsche.

As a child, Marguerite was diagnosed with polio. Her parents, William H. and Carrie Gottsche, sought treatment for her around the world, but found the greatest relief for Marguerite in the healing waters of the Hot Springs State Park pools in Thermopolis.

That experience inspired them to leave a gift to establish a rehabilitation center in Thermopolis, creating what is now the William H. & Carrie Gottsche Foundation.

For more than 70 years, the Foundation has remained committed to improving the health and well-being of Wyoming communities. Today, as a nonprofit organization, we continue that mission by providing physical therapy, wellness programs, fitness services, and compassionate care to people of all ages regardless of their ability to pay.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing more about our history, our mission, and the legacy that continues to make a difference across Wyoming.
