Every legacy has a beginning.
This is Marguerite Gottsche.
As a child, Marguerite was diagnosed with polio. Her parents, William H. and Carrie Gottsche, sought treatment for her around the world, but found the greatest relief for Marguerite in the healing waters of the Hot Springs State Park pools in Thermopolis.
That experience inspired them to leave a gift to establish a rehabilitation center in Thermopolis, creating what is now the William H. & Carrie Gottsche Foundation.
For more than 70 years, the Foundation has remained committed to improving the health and well-being of Wyoming communities. Today, as a nonprofit organization, we continue that mission by providing physical therapy, wellness programs, fitness services, and compassionate care to people of all ages regardless of their ability to pay.
Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing more about our history, our mission, and the legacy that continues to make a difference across Wyoming.
