We would like to thank our mutual aid partners from Brownsville Fire Company for taking sometime from there busy schedules to attend our training Monday night to allow our members to familiarize themselves with there recently put into service ladder truck.

At 1:07 am on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 the Theresa Fire Department, Mayville EMS and mutual aid partners were dispatched for a report of a working barn fire in the Township of Theresa at N7596 Plover Road, Mayville, WI. Upon the arrival of Chief Warren Stanke, the structure was fully involved and partially collapsed. A MABAS response was initiated at the working still level. Theresa’s first arriving engine crew initiated a defensive fireground attack and extinguished fire extending into a neighboring cut cornfield. Mutual aid companies assisted with extinguishment efforts, water supply, traffic control, road salting, and excavation operations during the incident. Brownsville Fire Company and Horicon Fire Department also provided fire protection coverage to the Town and Village of Theresa for the duration of the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and a damage estimate is not available. No civilians or fire personnel sustained injuries during the incident and no residents were displaced.
