The Plains Community League The Plains Community League is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization - any donations are fully tax deductible.

The Plains Community League provides service, support, and fellowship to our neighbors in The Plains, creating small town unity through a connected community of neighbors. The League strives to continue in the spirit of the founders by providing various events and services that will enrich the lives of the residents of our community. Some of their current projects include a free after school tutoring program on Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons for any elementary, middle, or high school students that need some extra academic help, a Thanksgiving Basket program which distributes food baskets for our needy families. They have also sponsored various community celebrations, including community Christmas and Easter parties, complete with pictures with Santa and the Easter bunny. We also now can provide a meeting place for various local groups or offer a place for local residents or business people to rent for their own event.

Thank you to the Wakefield School middle schoolers that helped prepare the John Page Turner Community House for A Day in The Plains. They created signs for our activities, folded brochures, and did much needed yard work. They were amazingly efficient, creative, and polite.
