What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

At Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. (GOBHI), our Applied Behavior Analysis program supports children experiencing Autism Spectrum Disorder by helping them build skills that support learning, communication, and everyday life.

Applied Behavior Analysis is a science-based approach that uses principles of learning and behavior to help improve meaningful, socially significant skills. Through individualized support and proven strategies, ABA can help children develop new abilities, strengthen positive behaviors, and reach their full potential.

We are proud to offer programs that support children and families across rural and frontier Oregon.

As Black History Month comes to an end, GOBHI continues to recognize and celebrate the lasting impact of Black communities on Oregon’s past, present, and future.

Black Oregonians have enriched our state through leadership, innovation, advocacy, culture, and care — shaping stronger communities despite persistent inequities. Their contributions continue to inspire progress, connection, and resilience across Oregon.

We believe behavioral health is health, and advancing equity is key to supporting whole-person well-being. GOBHI remains committed to listening, learning, and partnering in ways that promote access, inclusion, and healthier futures throughout rural and frontier Oregon.

February Wellness Window: Nutritional Challenges

Have you ever heard the phrase “eating disorder”? For some, it means struggling with not eating enough, eating too much, or eating and then trying to remove food afterward. These behaviors can feel overwhelming — but support is available. Counseling can help explore root causes and support recovery. There is hope and healing, and you deserve a healthy relationship with food and your body.

National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (Feb. 23–Mar. 1, 2026), led by the National Eating Disorders Association, reminds us that Every BODY Belongs. If you or someone you know needs support with nutrition or eating concerns, consider reaching out to your healthcare team. Your mind and body will thank you.
