This beloved annual fundraiser brings together the best of our community: volunteers, sponsors, donors, and neighbors all united around one shared goal — ending hunger in the Gorge. It's more than an event. It's a culmination of everything we do together, all year long.

What a treat to spend time with some of our incredible local food donors! 🍒🍐💛
Each year, Oregon Food Bank's Food Resource Developers (FRDs) hit the road to personally recognize many donors who contribute to the Oregon Food Bank Network — presenting a framed record of their annual donation, sharing some gratitude, and taking the time to engage with and learn from our local growers and producers.
One thing that makes this network so effective: food donations are matched to the right-sized recipient. Pantries receive boxes and cases, Regional Food Banks (that's us!) get pallets and half-truckloads, and Oregon Food Bank handles the largest loads — ensuring the bounty of our state gets shared efficiently at every level.
Today, we celebrate three Gorge businesses that work directly with Oregon Food Bank & Columbia Gorge Food Bank in supporting hunger relief efforts across our whole network. Please help us give a shout out to Diamond, Duckwall, and Orchard View! We are so grateful for their generosity and their heart for this community. 🧡

Big thanks to the amazing Google volunteers who helped us pack Migrant Farm Worker Food Boxes — and to the for supporting this work through the Salvador Fund grant!

Each spring, many migrant farmworkers and their families arrive in our community for cherry harvest. In support of these families and workers, we aim to bridge the gap between their arrival and first paycheck — assembling boxes filled with shelf-stable and culturally relevant food items distributed through our partnership with Wasco County OCDC and the RAMAS collaborative.

Together, we assembled 250 boxes ready to go to families this harvest season. 🧡

🥭 It takes a network to move fresh food — and here's how! These gorgeous mangos were donated to Oregon Food Bank's Portland warehouse → distributed to regional food banks across the state (including us!) → sent to our pantry partners → and into the hands of neighbors seeking food assistance.

Fresh, beautiful food. A coordinated network. And a whole lot of people working together to make it happen.🫶

Pluot party! 🍑✨ We called, and our volunteers answered — fast! This awesome crew jumped at the chance to repack a fresh haul of pluots, and we couldn't be more grateful. Good fruit, great people, zero waste. That's what community looks like! 💪

Boxes and boxes of fresh sourdough — plain, garlic rosemary, and more — came our way this week, and we are so glad to be able to share it. Good bread, in abundance. We'll take it. 🧡
