"The event was a huge success, and it was amazing to see the town so busy and full of energy," said Joe Kirkwood, owner and operator of TD River City Saloon in downtown.

Kirkwood said Saturday, March 7 resulted in his second largest day of sales in the history of his establishment. "People came from all over the Northwest to enjoy the music, art, and community of The Dalles. January and February can be tough months for small businesses, and this festival gave many of us the boost we need to keep moving forward."

Our community never ceases to amaze us! Just before The Dalles Hoot 2026, we received several last-minute donations and sponsorships from the good folks at: Lines of Designs-Clothing That Fits, Grocery Outlet, Last Stop Saloon, Historic Herbring House 1864/Grand Dalles Trading Co., Equal Exchange, Cousins Restaurant The Dalles OR.

Their generosity helped us keep musicians, volunteers, and staff hydrated, fed and happy through three long days. We can't thank them enough!

Wow. Just...wow. THANK YOU to everyone who attended, volunteered, staffed, sponsored, donated, and supported The Dalles Hoot 2026. It's safe to say it was a massive success. We have a lot more epic photos and videos to share, but for now we are catching our breath.
