Born in Michoacan, Mexico, Teodolinda's culinary journey began at the tender age of nine, driven by necessity and fueled by a passion that would define her life.
Her childhood trials led to the mastery of flavors, and now, The Dalles is reaping the rewards. With decades of experience behind her, Teodolinda has curated a menu that marries the essence of Michoacan with her personal touch.
Rio Grande Taqueria in The Dalles offers a delicious menu featuring authentic Mexican flavors, including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and more. According to Business of the Year owner Steve Kane this is where you can get the BEST margarita in town!
Her daughters, Ariana and Yesenia Pozos, join Teodolinda in her culinary adventure who serve with grace and warmth. Their family-run establishment, Rio Grande Taqueria, aims to seat up to 65 guests and dreams of offering outdoor dining.
In just over four months since opening, the restaurant has been embraced by the community, promising delicious food, warm hospitality, and community involvement in the future. Teodolinda's dream has become a reality, and she has become her own boss, living the dream she never gave up on.
